I bought a used DELL 2300 MP proejctor for power point presentations. My Epson DLP is compatible with my compaq Presario CQ60. But the Dell seems it is not... screen keeps saying searching for signal. Tried lowering resolution etc. Am I screwed here and shall I just return it? And why would Dell make a product that is not compatible with other laptops. Real dissapointment. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Decrease the screen resolution of your computer to the minimum possible value and check.
Probably the projector does not support the resolution of the laptop. With a lower resolution it might work.
If there is bluetooth hardware present on your computer, click on the Start Menu and type Bluetooth in the search box, this should present you with what you may do with your Bluetooth. Or alternatively if you are using Windows XP, Look for the Bluetooth Devices section in the Control Panel.
It has a memory card slot (left-side towards the front), but your particular memory card might be too big for the slot. There are several different variations of memory cards out now. Of course the newer the variation, the smaller that card is. This laptop is fairly new so it might not be compatible with your memory card. Does your camera have a USB cable for transferring pictures? If so, then just use that.
Hi, the problem seems to be that your computer, do not recognize “which monitor is being used.”Follow these steps to correct the problem.First (right) click on an empty area of your Desktop Screen next click Personalize, click Display Settings, click Identify Monitor. At this point, your monitor should be present. If Analog or Digitaldisplay settings is present choose is Digital! To finalize the application, click (OK), next Apply!Restart your computer. I hope this solves your problem. Thanks paul7of9
They all use stereo plugs. Make sure you plug the speakers into the GREEN Hole. Also make sure that your speakers don't need any external power, also you might want to make sure you have the sound turned up too.
