Put the windows cd in, turn on laptop, boot from cd,
click on format, when it sees that there already is a copy of windows
on there do not try to repair just contine to install fresh. there you

option of re-installing with format or without format ..
If you dont know how 2 use it then the simple method is to use a windows98 bootable CD.
Boot from it.
format c: at dos prompt
then install from laptop xp cdthere you
