This blog post outlines repair procedures for stuck automatic lens covers, and gives several examples on disassembly and reassembly. However, if you find that you are missing some pieces, you probably have already noticed that the camera works just fine without the lens cover. In that case, maybe consider leaving the shutters removed, and simply installing the outer lens ring to improve the camera's appearance. And pay a little extra care in protecting the lens, possibly by storing and carrying the camera in a camera case.

How do i replace lense cover on a canon sx170 is?

Since I cannot see your pieces, I can recommend actual replacement. You can Google your camera's make/model with replace lens cover and pick from the listings. You can also go straight to Canon USA and search their store as they have replacement lens covers. I did this here for another customer as an example.

Dvd player tell me disk error

this could be aproblem with the lens which is unable to read the disk. this could be caused by accumulation of dirt on the disk sensor. open up the cover of the dvd player to access the lense and clean gently with a lense cleaner(a liquid purposely meant for cleaning the lense) apply this liquid on a soft piece of cloth and clean. close back the cover and power the dvd player it should now be able to load the disk

Hi your camera is very simply in mechanically. It may has loosen screws go around and stuck inside. If you are careful, you can try on open and look for the piece. If you are willing to, then let me know. Thanks and best regard!

There is moisture trapped between the lenses. I took eye piece off to let air in but it didn't help. The moisture is actually trapped between the two pieces of glass in lense.

Hi Rebecca,
This is something that Leica will need to repair for you, as they are the only ones who have the tooling and parts to get inside of your scope. If you are in North America, you can contact them at 1-800-222-0118. Seeing as how the scope is supposed to be waterproof and nitrogen purged, I would suspect that any repair service is covered under your scope's lifetime warranty.

you may try a "skins"stick on headlight cover, it is a thick plastic cover you cut to the shape,, it wont fix the crack but will keep moisture out and stop the crack expanding, this may keep you riding until you can find a secondhand one, cheaper than new. try autobarn or other accessory speed shops for the skins

it's just okay to store with the lens on the camera, but it's better to have a camera body cap and front and back lens covers on the lenses with cases stored in a dry place with batteries removed from camera.
for the finder i would suggest a soft rubber eye piece accessory that fits on the finder.

I need to replace the taillight lens.

Open the trunk. Unscrew and remove the plastic T post where your cargo net mounts. Remove the long plastic piece that covers the latch mechanism to expose the (5 or 6) plastic nuts that hold the lense to the body. Once the are off, just pull the lense straight back and unscrew your bulbs....install in the reverse procedure.

Removing tailght lenses cover?

drop the tail gate and there are screws where the gate was and if i remember correctly they are torx screws and u just pull straight out the whole cover cause it's clipped into place. when u have the whole tail lamp in your hands unplug the power connecter then use a phillips and unscrew the housing and replace the bulbs. The bulbs are a real pain in the *** cause they have that small little metal piece that breaks all the fricken time. well it does for me anyways. good luck
