No print with new cartridge on z1300 - Lexmark Z1300 InkJet Photo Printer

Print quality issues could be due to dirty or clogged print cartridge nozzles. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

Clean Cartridge Nozzles (Solution Center):

1. Open the Solution Center. Click Start > Programs or All Programs > Lexmark 1300 Series. Select Solution Center.

2. From the Maintenance tab, click Clean to fix horizontal streaks.

3. Click Print. A page prints, forcing ink through the print cartridge nozzles to clean them.

4. Print a document again to verify that the print quality has improved.

Follow these steps on how to install the cartridge: 1. Make sure the printer is on. 2. Lift the access cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy. 3. Press down on the left cartridge carrier lever to raise the cartridge carrier lid. 4. Remove the used print cartridge(if you are replacing). Insert the new black cartridge in the left carrier. 5. Snap the lid closed.

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Follow the steps below:

1. Unplug the printer from the power source.

2. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip that connects from the carrier assembly to the ink cartridge carrier and gently slide the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer.

3. Remove the used cartridge.

4. Load the new black cartridge. Close the cover.

5. Plug the printer back to the power source.

Make sure you are using the correct cartridges for your printer. Try to remove your cartridges from your printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug your printer into th power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert your cartridges. If that doesn't help, try to clean the print cartridge nozzles. Open the Lexmark Solution Center on your computer -> From the Maintenance tab, click Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Click Print. A page will then be printed, forcing ink through the print cartridge nozzles to clean them.

Are you sure it's the correct one? Try another cartridge. Sometimes even new or especially remanufactured ones cause problems. Also make sure that the contacts on the cartridge and in the printer are clean and no debris is in the way.

Have you recently replaced the printer cartridges? As I would suspect this to be the initial culprit.

If they are fairly new (ie. not used or dried up), you could check the printer settings to see if the printer is set to print lightly, or in economy mode.

Yes it will. I got a 34. The software wont reset the ink level tho. Nad it will keep throwing up but ink pop ups. But it will print. Buy refill it ...stick that in Lexmarks eye.
