Check to make sure that there are no stray wires crossing into other inputs in the amp, if everything checks out OK then the problem is internal.

I have a alpine mrp-m500 for about two years no problems at all. but one day it stops producing sound. i check all fuse on the whole system. is the a protect mode? and how do get it out of it?

If you have checked all the fuses.
Trace your ground wire that goes to the frame. It may be possible your ground is no longer grounded properly. You may just need to unhook the fuse from the battery, Unhook the ground wire from the chassis and restrip, put on a new connector, chisel off the paint around where the amp was grounded to and tighten it back down. Hook back up your fuse to the battery and check and see if it removes the protect light.
Also check to make sure your RCA cables aren't bad. If the RCA cables ground it'll put the amp into protect mode too. Basically just switch out the RCA cables for a good pair.
If the remote wire on the amp is touching the ground, it'll throw the protect light too. That's pretty much the extent, unless the amp has a short inside it.

Hope this helps!

I plug in rockwood detanator VII and it goes to protections mode

Generally if an amp goes straight into protection, the amp is not grounded well enough. Either you should find a new location to ground the amp to or unhook the power wire from the battery, remove the ground wire from the chassis of your vehicle. Strip the paint from the chassis, since it doesn't conduct electricity, and remove any corrosion or copper shielding from the ground connector. reground to a solid metal location Can be grounded to the brace behind the back seat or to the seat belt bolt for best results.
An amp draws a lot of power, there it needs to be grounded well.
Hook back up your power wire to the battery and see if your issue is resolved.

Amp in power protect

Protection Circuit is bad. It needs to be serviced. If all speaker wires are disconnected and it's still in protection, it's got a problem. Hope this helps

Amp Power Protection

sounds like the amp gain is too high, grounded incorrectly, or the amp is bad. the ground wire should be no more than 2 feet long.

The amp turns on but goes to protection mode

Have you checked the REM wire, if it is the wiring may have gotten fried.

Or you may need to get new parts replaced within the amp.

Both issues happened to me.

Got a red light on amplifire how do you reset amp I have an Insignia NS P2000 I believe with two 12-inch Insignia subs & I have a similar problem with the indicator showing that the amp is in protection...

Have you tried turning your gain down a little and then slowly turn the gain up while the sound is on!!!! There could be a pinched wire in you speaker wires!!!! Make sure your remote wire is not touching any metal or ground wire!!!!

Powers isnt turning on but everythings hooked up?

Check the fuses. If the fuse is bad the amp's power supply is burnt. If the red light stays red and never goes green then your amp is in protect mode and the output section is burnt. To test for rem. problem just use a jumper wire (paper clip... or whatever)to jump from +12v power to rem. If rem. wire has no voltage when your radio is turned on that will make your amp come on. then look for the fuse in the rem. line. Good luck !
