Thank you for your response to my posting. My TV is a 32" GE Commercial Skip Model 32GT740 . Some but not all of the channels are blocked. Any help would be appreciated Kdh

Do you have the remote control for your TV? If so, try to program again your TV and if nothing happen, replace the eproom and the the tuner.

Have a GE 32GT740 32" TV.....How can I adjust the Verticle? I can only see part of the ESPN trailer line at the bottom of the screen.

the vertical deflection circuit of your tv has a problem.first try to replace the vertical ic..this ic can be found near the plyback or horizontal section It is a lenear ic with heatsinc..if nothing happens after replacing the ic ,,replace all the polarized capacitor near the ic and resolder the components at the vertical section...good luck please rate my help..

My best answer is check with your local TV shop for any service manuals. Most TV companies do not sell parts or information to consumers. This is true for RCA/GE as well. You can google search your TV model and see if you can find any info.

In google type GE32GT40 service manuals.

Yes it is called an EEPROM IC chip that needs to be replaced. Very comon to fail on these types of sets. GE owned RCA back the 1990's now funai owns both along with magnavox and parts may be hard to get.

please do not try to put it on for further damage.

buzz and sizzle and smell like all the wire were burning is due to short circuit in horizontal output section or high voltage flyback section.

please skilled tech to fix it.

it looks major problem but it is not a major.

can be rectified by skilled tech easily at your home.
