You should not adjustthese since they are preset. Tension can be affectedslightly by adjusting the tension of the walking belt but if you have a slippingproblem, the drive belt will require replacement. If yourdrive belt is too loose, it will slip on the front roller pulley or the motorpulley. If it is too tight, it will increase your amp draw to the point thatyou may have an electronics or motor problem. Due to this, it is better to beon the safe side and replace a drive belt rather than riskover tightening it. A drive belt is usually $29.99 or less while many parts youcan damage by over tightening can be more than $300.Additionally, too much tension can cause bearing failure in the motor and thefront roller and front roller pulley failure. It is better to err onhaving the belt a little too tight rather than too loose due to the possibilityof injury if the belt slips. Motor Belt Adjustment-Icon Units Do not remove any of themounting bolts to the motorthese repairs will require 2 9/16" wrenches andmayrequire two people to accomplish the repairs Before beginning this repair: Check to make certain that the drive belt requiresadjustment. Check out belt slipping instructions or with the motor cover removed, walk on the belt normally and try to stall the belt to make it slip. Be careful during this test. If theproblem is in the drive belt, eitherthe drive belt will stop when stalled or the front roller will stop whenstalled. If the motor, drive belt, and front roller continue to turn when thewalking belt is stalled, the problem is with the walking belt slipping on thefront roller. If the drive belt continues to turn but the frontroller stalls, you may have a broken front roller pulley. If you need further assistance, please reach me, sincerely G-d bless you.

Belt starting slipping, adjusted according to User's manual...belt still slips.

hi,
Here is the steps to adjust the treadmill belt,
(1). Turn off the treadmill and remove the plug from the wall outlet to make sure it doesn't turn on during the readjustment process.

(2).Tighten the roller bolts on the rear of the treadmill belt with an Allen wrench. Tighten both the right and left bolts with 1/4 turns.

(3).Avoid tightening the bolts more than 1/4 of a turn at a time. If the belt is tightened too much, it may cause damage to the belt, which would require a replacement.

(4).Plug the treadmill into the wall and press "Power."

(5). Select a program and begin walking. If the treadmill is still slipping, turn off the treadmill, unplug it and tighten the bolt a 1/4 turn again until it is properly adjusted.

watch the following video which will help you to do the same. All brand hve the same procedure for tighten the walking belt.

If then also the belt is slipping then you have to replace the running belt with a new one.

Reebok 8050es treadmill walking belt has started slipping/skipping. It has been oiled and it is 2 years old.

If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) above the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened. If you still have slipping then the drive belt under the motor shroud can also cause this problem unplug unit remove shroud then plug unit in start it up observe the front roller to see if it stops if it does locate the tension adjusting bolt by the motor loosen motor mount and proceed adjusting until slipping has been eliminated

Reebok Vista belt not working properly

There could be 3 different problems with this machine.
1) loose drive belt (this model has a spring loaded idler that tightens the tension)
2) Bad front drive roller (you wil hear the pulley spinning freely on the front roller if the roller is bad)
3)Last is possibly the walk belt itself. May need to be tightened or replaced.
To try to tighten the walk belt, go to the end of the walk belt and find the 2 adjust allan screws in the end and tighten them 2 revolutions clockwise on both screws.
Hope this helps a little. Tim

How do you track a belt on a reebok vista treadmill?

There are 2 allen screws on the rear of the machine. Use an allen wrench and access the side in which the walk belt is tracking towards. (tracking to the right go to the right screw) Insert the allen wrench and rotate the screw one revolution CLOCKWISE. This should move the belt 1/4 inch towards the center. If needed you may rotate the screw one and possibly 2 more revolutions but more than that you may have another issue with the machine.
Good luck! Tim

Reebok i run treadmill stops working after 10 mins

If everything still works but no belt movement, you motor controller is more than likely shot. If replacing you want to also pay attention to the deck and belt. Sence it sut down while running, it sound it an over heating problem which is usually caused from too much friction between the walking belt and the deck(the board under it) May require lube or may need replacing.

Treadmill belt slipping

To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem.
