Seems you have a defective cartridge. Try an other one.

Ghosting appears often because of bad toner. If cartridges have been refilled, they have wrong toner in them. If drum has worn out it will usually tell you. All parts for this machine cost too much. If toner is not the problem, probably best to get a new machine rather than pay to get it fixed. Brothers are cheaper to run.

Lexmark t630 prints ink on right side of paper

there are typically a few causes of this.

1 - low toner

2 - charge and transfer rollers need to be replaced

3 - high voltage power supply is failing

the first 2 can be checked and fixed very easily

take the toner out and give the toner a shake and replace into the printer.

remove the toner, drop the front door down a couple inches and you will see the charge roller attached to the 2 arms drop down from the top of the printer in the toner bay. if the roller is yellow or orangish it needs to be replaced because the roller should be gray in color. hope this helps!

Solution: If you replace the toner cartridge and the 'Toner Low' message remains, the printer may need to be reset.
To do so, power off the printer. Let it sit 20 to 40 seconds, then power it back on. If the 'Toner Low' message does not appear on power-up, try printing again.
If the 'Toner Low' message returns on power-up or when printing, confirm the following:
  • The toner cartridge you just installed is a brand new toner cartridge and not a used one.
  • The toner cartridge is an original Lexmark brand toner cartridge. Cartridges manufactured by a third party may not be compatible with the printer.
If a third-party cartridge is causing this issue, contact the point of purchase for additional support or replacement of the toner cartridge.
  • The toner cartridge has not been refilled or refurbished by a third party. If it has, contact the place where it was refilled to have it replaced.

Still Need Help? Should you confirm all the above and the 'Toner Low' message remains, have the following available when calling Lexmark Technical Support;
  • Printer model(s)
  • Printer serial number
  • Toner/imaging unit/waste toner bottle part number and serial number

I've refilled my black ink cartridge #36 and put it into my Lexmark 5650. My computer will not let me print - not even to "complete a page" print. It says that I need more ink. I have windows vistas. What...

Lexmark 36 and 37 cartridges cannot be refilled. When your ink levels drop below a certain point your printer deactivates the electronics on your cartridge so you cannot refill them. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling shop and I sell Lexmark originals for the 36 and 37 because of this reason. Unfortunately you purchased a machine that you have to buy expensive original ink for. You need to buy Lexmark original 36 and 37 to get your printer to work. As a refiller I never recommend someone buy a Lexmark printer if they ever want to use refills.

If you are using the Postscript driver, switch to one of the PCL drivers. Either PCL or PCLXL.

If you are using PCL, switch to a different driver.

If all of the above fail, send me a Print to File so I can debug it.

I would suggest pulling the toner out and paper tray and using compressed air to blow out all ereas of the printer. If that does not work then you will have to remove the 2 screws at the back of the printer and with the two tabs at the top remove the backa nd look for paper jammed inside.
