Possible that the connection to the AUX does not activate if you are using RCA inputs. Connect the DVD using the optical cable or the coaxial link and it must play better with surround and subwoofer in DTS.

Subwoofer

I'm not familiar with your unit. However, this is normal, since the "sub" is encoded separately in movies. I have a separate sub for my front speakers. Or if you know what you're doing you can redirect the front signal to your sub by using a switcher when you're listening to cds, then switch back to surround when watching movies. But again, you have to be experienced in the principle of A/V configuration.

Hello- I have my denon receiver connected to my tv with 2 front speaker,2 surround and center channel along with the sub. The problem is that when i play a blue ray, all my speakers produce sound including...

I need to know the quality of the speakers on the TV. Try unplugging it from the speakers on the TV and plug it into the souround sound speakers only and see if it plays differently. Double check your sourround sound and makes sure you did not reverse a wire.

Why? no sound from the speskers at all.

There are a few things that could cause no sound and although some are obvious I'll got through them all..

1) Sound is on Minimum

2) Sound is Muted

3) No Power to Subwoofer

4) Speakers connected Incorrectly or Faulty

5) No AUDIO IN connections to TV-IN or AUX-IN

6) Incorrect Input Source is Selected (See Below)

Connecting audio from TV

When connecting the audio output from your TV to this Home Theater Audio System, you will have the sound of the

TV output on all the speakers. It will enable you to enjoy the multi-channel surround sound capabilities.

Use an audio cable (red/white - not supplied) to connect the TV IN jacks on this DVD system to the AUDIO OUT

jacks on the TV. To listen to the sound, press TV on the remote control as the sound source that you want to play.

Connecting audio from an audio/video device

This DVD system provides analog and digital audio connection. You can connect the audio output from an

audio/video device (e.g. VCR, Cable/Satellite Box) to this Home Theater Audio System in order to enjoy the

multi-channel surround sound capabilities.

Use an audio cable (red/white - not supplied) to connect the AUX IN jacks on this DVD system to the AUDIO OUT

jacks on the connected device. To listen to the sound, press AUX/DI to select "AUX" as the sound source that

you want to play.

Or

The audio keeps going in and out and cuts off. Also I have other devices going into aux in but it doesn't show 5.1 surround it only shows the front L, Front R, and CT speakers in stereo. I want everything...

If you are playing a source that is Stereo such as FM Radio or a CD the sound will not use all 5.1 speakers unless you enable the correct Surround Mode. On the remote there is a button on the lower right of the remote that says SURROUND. You can toggle through the various surround modes with this button the mode you want is Dolby Pro Logic The Pro Logic mode uses the built-in circuit to steer the Left, Center, Right and Mono Surround channel audio signals and uses all five speakers to play both stereo and Dolby Pro Logic program source, such as TV and VCR. You can use this mode with any stereo program source (such as VCR/TV) to enjoy multi-channel sound experience.

AUX mode

This will not work the speakers need something to decode a surround signal which is why they have so many connectors to the computer.

Aux only supports the stereo signal from example an Ipod

How to get sound through speakers with tv and not just dvds

Just wire your TV audio out to one of the receivers (DVD player) audio in and select AUX when you want the TV sound to play through the surround sound. You also might want to turn the volume down or off on your TV to get the full surround sound feeling, but that's your call.

Surround Sound Speakers and AUX

You have the mode selector for the surround sound on the wrong switch setting. Look at the owners manual to see what setting you need for synthensized suround. Go to http://www.samsung.com if you need an owners manual. You will find it with a little bit of searching. Good Luck
