Part printing half way through the print job it tells me to take the tape off the cartidge, this had already been done. the first page is light and the second page can hardly be seen

the problem is in fuser or in toner cartidge.
print a page when the printer start to pull the paper more than a half page stop the printing by open the door
remove the toner and look the paper
if you see the line the problem is from toner replace toner cartidge if you see the image ok means the problem begins when the paper go into the fuser so replace fuser.

i aint too sure if its the same but i had an epson printer with the same problem last year it would print half a page spit out and then print the same half a page again and just stuck in a loop even on printing disks it did the same i found out after by speaking to a printer specialist it was the printers eeprom which is the printers memory bank that was failing and nothing can be done with it

Did you remove the small piece of "sealing" tape before you inserted the cartridge?

Try running a few "PRINT HEAD CLEANING" cycles, to unclog any ink-jets.

Is the whole page you want printed on half the page is just half the data printed? If the whole page is printed on half the paper then the problem is software. If the page only prints the left side or the right side blank on the other side then the problem is most likely the fuser assembly. Can you take a picture of the page and email it to us, we will email you back with what needs to be done next.

Go to printer and faxes and cheeck the preferences of your printer cheeck the number of copies and all strange that you will saw.

I have two problems. Either it won't accept a print job or when it is printing it stops when it is going through the job intermittently. Like for an hour it won't continue then all of a sudden it prints one page then a half hour later another page etc. It is so frustrating.

try to clean the print heads of the ink cartridges. you can do it in the HP solution center. you can run it through all 3 tests so you make sure its clean. if it doesnt work after that, your ink cartidge level might be off, because i hear they never work half the time anyways. i would buy new ink if the cleaning the heads does not work. good luck!

First thing to try is to remove the power brick (not just the cord the whole brick) from printer for a minute then re insert and try it again. If this doesn't help try uninstalling it then re installing the printer

nope, there should be no tape on the cartridge. This is preventing the ink from coming out.

I think their is leser is not taking fully of the document some problem in hardware.
