How To Check Which Lock Needs Unlocking On Your Samsung Phone:

1. Turn on your phone without a sim inserted
2. Type * # 7 4 6 5 6 2 5 # this will display which lock is active
   (An easier way to remember this is * # S I M L O C K # )
3. Doing this will display a screen similar to the example below, ON means that particular lock is locked, OFF means it's not locked :
   
   Network Lock [ON]
   Network Subset Lock [OFF]
   SP Lock [ON]
   CP Lock [OFF]

If only the Network lock is displayed saying ON then you will only need to use the NCK code with the instructions below.

If you see the Subset lock value as ON then you will need the SCK code and if you see the SP lock value as ON you will need the SPCK code.


How to enter specific unlock codes

• Once you know which lock(s) is active, you can now enter the specific code for it, as follows:
  
  If your phone says the NET lock is ON then you need to do this without a SIM inserted: # 7 4 6 5 6 2 5 * 6 3 8 * NCKCODE #
  
  If your phone says the SP lock is ON then you need to do this without a SIM inserted: # 7 4 6 5 6 2 5 * 7 7 * SPCKCODE #
  
  If your phone says the Subset lock is ON then you need to do this without a SIM inserted: # 7 4 6 5 6 2 5 * 7 8 2 * SCKCODE #

Once all locks are OFF, your phone is unlocked.

To change the lock code of your phone
Your phone's lock code is used to lock and unlock your phone.
The default lock code is 1234.

1. Use Menu 4-3-2-3 (Settings - Security settings - Access Codes - Change lock code) to change the lock code.
2. When the phone requires the lock code, it displays "Enter lock code:".
3. Enter the code, then press OK.

If you enter a wrong lock code five times in succession, your phone prompts you for the security code.
Saving the unlocked phone number

Use Menu 4-3-2-2 (Settings - Security - Settings - Unlocked phone number) to save a number that may be called even when your phone is locked. You will be required to enter the lock code.

1. Calling the unlocked phone number.
2. Press the Up or Down arrow keys or or manually enter the number exactly as it is saved, then press Call.

Note: The More key will pause the automatic scrolling of the help text. Pressing the More key or the Up or Down arrow keys will toggle through the pages. The More key is only displayed when the help text is displayed.

if you never set a lock code, it is default. try all zeros, or 123456 ect...... if you have the owners manual it will tell you what the default codes are.

For what do you need the Lock code ....... *#7780# isn't a Lock code ... its a factory reset code

Every code unlocks a certain lock. Code number 7 usually unlocks them all but some phones are 'buggy' and will not accept code 7 at first then use code 1.

Lock 1: MCC+MNC (Network och landsspecific)

I think it needs to be done with no sim card in the phone remember you only get 5 goes after this if its still not unlocked then the only other option is with a lead and unlocking software.
