EX-S500 PROBLEM HELLO, HOW IS EVERYONE HERE, I REALLY HOPE THAT SOMEONE CAN HELP ME SOON I HAVE A CASIO EXILIM EX-S500 MODEL DIGITAL CAMERA AND I TOOK SOME PICTURES ON SUNDAY MORNING AND WHEN I GO TO USE IT AGAIN IN THE AFTER THE SCREEN WOULD NOT COME ON IT IS FLASHING AND COMING ON BUT I CANNOT SEE ANYTHING AND WHEN I PUT THE CARD IN MY LAPTOP ALL I SEE IS BLACK PICTURE. PLEASE HELP ME. SELEINA

Sorry to hear you are having this issue. well the problem is your lens. the internal shutters have locked up and are stuck shut the lens needs replacement. repair run any where from 75.00 and up in most cases.i repair these all of the time.let me know if i can help out any further.

Where can i buy the lens barrel for my Casio Exilim EX-S500 cam? i dropped it and it was totally damaged

you did not indicate where you live so I am assuming you are in Canada.

Here is the support line for Casio.They should have all the replacement parts also, they should be able to let you know if there is a repair shop close to you.

try resetting the camer in the menu if it does not work then you might have a bad autofocus circute bad lens or bad main board.

you camera shutter is stuck at close position, you will need to open
the thing up to repair.

As for the totally dark screen, either your LCD or driver board is bad. You will need to open and replace the broken part.

get the new ex-600s.. my 500s's lens wont come back in either.. i got the 2 year ultra warantee this time cause they're junk cameras but it's the best compact for about a year till it breaks
