Ihave a fridgidaire affinity ATF8000FE front load that goes to pause at spin cycles. I have read here that it could possible be my drain hose or filter unfortunately I have no idea what I am looking for as I have not found a filter Can someone describe this to me

Hello Deanna Lytle - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

It is your pump it is probably clogged not the hose the actual pump mine was full of hair and a quarter. so it would not drain.

1. Unplug the washer

2. Pull the washer out to tilt it back so you can

reach the screws below the front panel and

remove it. (You will need something to catch

the water once the hose is removed from

the bottom of washer)

3. Loosen the bolt with the sliver clamp on the

bottom of the washer. The water will begin to

come out while your loosening the clamp. (Do

not remove any GREEN clamps)

4. Once the water is out, you can stick your hand

inside the hose to clean it out.

Possible the drain pump is defective , check voltage to the pump during the drain cycle to confirm that the program controller is outputting voltage to the pump.

Either you don't have enough water pressure, or the screen filter in the water lines that connect to the machine are clogged.

I would be looking at drain pump for obstructions or pump may have failed

A lot of times it is the strainer clogged at the pump. That has happened to mine. Hope that helps.

wont spin because the unit is not drainning water...wont spin with water in it must drain first...check drain hose for kink,,,check waste pipe for blockage...and than check pump...onthejob
