Normal 0 You need to go to the manufactures site and download the XP or VISTA driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install the program.

Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

I can't find the software for the installation of webcam PD1001

Hi Sisirever,

Since this product was discontinued years ago, there are no WindowsVista drivers available for it. That said, the majority of drivers thatwork with Windows XP (like the ones for your PD1001) will work withVista, the way most 2000 drivers work with XP.

Here's the driverguide link for the XP driver:
http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=132290

Click on the download link, and then choose Download this file by viewing a series of ads (no registration required)

and on the next 7 advert pages, just click 'Skip This' (under the adverts) and then enter the confirmation code and download.

Need help on getting webcam to work with vista

Try uninstalling any drivers that are present and get the latest ones from the Phillips website.
Right-click Computer in the Start menu, choose Properties, and click the Advanced System Setting link. Then, navigate to the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button. Locate your webcam, right click and select properties, then uninstall any drivers that may be present.
Go to the Phillips website here http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?slg=ENG&cat=PC_CAMERAS_CA&sct=WEBCAMS_SU&session=20070922170231_67.174.87.194&grp=PC_PRODUCTS_GR&ctn=SPC700NC/37&mid=Link_Software&hlt=Link_Software
and download the latest Vista drivers for the camera, then reinstall the drivers.
