HL generally stands for high limit fault which means a sensor is opening the heater circuit due to too high a heat reading. Common causes for such a fault start with poor water flow due to dirty filters which in turn allow the element to overheat. If necessary, replace the filter elements to restore proper flow.If flow issues are not the problem, try looking at the heater itself however you should probably call out a professional at this point as most remaining issues to check are within the controls and the heater and if you are not familiar with working on these components you should avoid trying to repair this yourself.

Hot tub doesn't heat

Steve- go to http://www.hottubworks.com/ and check out the heater trouble shooting guide. Pretty easy to narrow it down. Most common is filters being clogged (lack of flow) or heater element has burned out (easy to replace) there is a video how to do it.

My hot tub doesn't heat up all the way even though it says it's ready

If a floating thermometer is more than 3-4 Degrees F off what the control panel display temperature then the temperature sensor has likely failed.

I just bought my hot tub, it shows ''FLO'' on the panel when i turn it on. I did every thing they say on the panflet but it still doesn`t work. Anything else i should do??

The problem is that the flow switch for your water heater is indicating no flow. Therefore your water heater will not operate. Without proper water flow your heater will burn up. Check that your valves are open. Check that your pump is running. Check that your filters are properly installed and not restricting flow. Check the wiring to your flow switch and make sure the flow switch operating properly (i.e. put a ohm meter across the contacts and see if you have continuity when the switch closes).
