My 3200se will not print a receipt. The paper advances but no print. I've checked the paper, including changing rolls. I've unplugged the machine and plugged it back in to reset it. Also had the machine reprogrammed, but it still will not print. Wht is the problem?

sam 52xxm registers use two thermal printers....so make sure the paper is thermal and not in upside down. also make sure the receipt on/off function is "on" . and finally see if the tubular black paper feed roller hasn't popped out of its socket making the paper not turn or advance
You haven't mentioned the journal roll, so I will assume it prints the journal but not the receipt. What happens if you press the post receipt button at the end of a sale. Does it print daily reports on both rolls?

Our Star TSP700II leaves about 1/4 inch of unused paper on the roll when the error light comes on and the printer stops printing. Is there any way we can make an adjustment so that we're not wasting so much paper?
The following is the method to turn the receipt printing on/off: Receipt ON/OFF function You can disable receipt printing in the REG mode to save paper using the receipt ON/OFF function. To disable receipt printing, press the Rkey in the OP X/Z position. This key toggles the receipt printing status ON and OFF. To check the receipt printing status, turn the mode switch to the OP X/Z position or press the lkey in the REG mode. When the function is in the OFF mode, the receipt off indicator “_” illuminates. The register will print reports regardless of the receipt state, so the paper roll must be installed. To issue a receipt when receipt ON/OFF function is set to OFF: If your customer wants a receipt after you finalized a transaction with the receipt ON/OFF function in the OFF mode, press the Rkey. This will produce a receipt. If more than 50 items were entered, the receipt will be issued in a summary receipt format. Your register can also print a copy receipt when the receipt ON/OFF function is in the “ON” status.
If it is now printing blank and was working before the paper roll change then you need to flip the roll over and print on the other side of the paper. This is assuming you have the correct thermal paper roll.
Hi. These are very rare, so I don't have info on them. However, Sanyo usually have a receipt on/off button on the machine if that model can have the paper turned off. Since it is a single roll printer, it may be set to journal mode where it will always print. To change this, you would need the programming tables. Do you have a manual for it? If I can check the tables, we can see if it has the on/off function.
Hi. The PCR-T470 is only a single roll machine, so if you had them printing at the same time, you would be handing the customer your journal when you gave them their receipt. This machine can be setup either as journal only (in which case you use the black takeup reel that sits inside the printer housing), or receipt mode (in which case you have the paper coming out of the front of the printer cover). The best thing about single roll machines is that when you have them in recipt mode (recommended), you can print the journal out of memory whenever you want. to do this, turn the key to X mode and press RC button until you see 'electronic journal', then press CASH to print it. you might be able to reset the journal by doing the procedure in Z mode (the manual isn't clear about this). Give it a try.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more trouble.
