How do you get lens cover off to replace the oven bulb?

I have the same problem with my Amana oven I tried removing the back cover and still couldn't figure it out. you would think hey would have made it easier to remove the bulb lens cover, I should have bought a Maytag.

Http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php here is a link to your oven and it is shown in an exploded view. You will need to unscrew the cover from over the light bulb and then unscrew the bulb to replace with same. Hope this helps..

Maytag gemini electric double oven, f1-f2 codes both ovens, tested both temperature sensor probes, both at 1100 ohms, called Maytag, said might be control board. Anything else to test before spending $$$...

I wanted to replace the oven light in my Maytag electric oven but I can't get the glass cover or dome off. Does it turn a particular way or direction?

it turns off but might be stuck or melted on possibly because the heat or the factory overtightened it, it will come off might just need a lil elbow grease but be carefull sometimes people break those tryin to remove. i believe its just a 40watt appliance bulb , hope this helps let me know

Oven light

There's a sprung steel retainer clip holding the cover in place. Use a small screwdriver to pry it downward, the clip will release and the cover can be pulled straight off.
