I don't know how to - ddbdc41.jpg

Acer Aspire 4315

This unit has no touch button volume control.

A touch button volume control is a feature most users fail to ask about before purchasing.

Acer removed the touch button volume control feature for power users who do not require a touch button volume control.

Can I mute or lower the volume on my nuvi 265T without going to the main menu?

If you go to the screen that shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP there's a speaker icon in the bottom right corner. You touch the speaker and it brings you to the screen where you can adjust the volume or mute it. I don't know if that's what you mean by the main menu but I'm afraid it's the shortest way to adjusting the volume.

Someone turned the sound off on my dell and I don't know how to turn it back on

You have two ways to unmute your speakers.
1. In the right side of your desktop near clock you have an icon like a speaker, right click on it and left click on open volume control. Then go to first box in the left side and uncheck mute, after that your speakers should work normally.
2. Go to start/control panel and double click on sound and devices, it appear a window. In that window uncheck mute from volume tab. That's all.

I cant get my sound to work on Petz 5 and i really nead it!

Is it is legitimate copy, or something you torrented? I think I can help if you torrented it, but I don't know if it'll work on a copy you purchased. Go to program files and find the Petz folder. Delete or rename setupapi.dll. Should fix the problem.

How do I turn on the speakers on my HP lap top?

There are buttons near the screen that should do this. Or it might be that your sound card is muted in which case click on the speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner and when the volume control comes up click on the mute button to activate them. hope this helps

Yesterday, when I powered up my laptop, everything was all of a sudden enlarged ( the desktp, icons, internet, text, e-mails, EVERYTHING). I know this is probably supposed to be some kind of useful tool...

Hi,

Your enlarged desktop could be caused by several different things, so I will address each one in the order of likelihood of each one:

1. You may have accidentally changed your Display Settings.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. Scroll down and click on Display Settings. Ensure that your Monitor Resolution is set for the maximum. If not, use your mouse to move the slider bar all the way to the right.

2. You may have accidentally changed the size of text and icons.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down the screen, select Make the computer easier to see. Click on Change the size of text and icons about half way down the screen. If it is not selected, chose the default scale.

3. You may have accidentally turned on the Magnifier.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down the screen, select Make the computer easier to see. About half way down the screen, uncheck the Turn on Magnifier.

To turn off the On-Screen Keyboard on start-up,
right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down, select Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard. Unselect Use On-Screen Keyboard.

To turn off the Narrator on start-up, right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About a third of the way down, select Use the computer without a display. Unselect Turn on Narrator.

I hope this helps. If so, please remember to rate my post.

Thanks!

Audio

Go to START, PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, ENTERTAINMENT, Volume control. With the volume control open, see if the volume is muted (Checkbox marked mute at bottom of Master volume) If it is checked, uncheck it, and you should have sound.
