I have a problem with the LED display on me samsung fridge freezer SR-L628EV On the fridge side there are 4 bars in the middle but will not adjust. On the freezer side it is blank. After pulling the plug out the freezer will go down to -20 (thermometer put inside) but will then stop and not start again unless I repeat the above Any advice would be appreciated thank you

Hi My Samsung freezer was nor a RB2155 it is a RS2630SH however after not making any ice because the tray was stuck in the upside down position or thereabout after 6 weeks it suddenly started making ice again, we had not done anything to it but we heard it dropping ice one evening and we had a look in the ice container and low and behold the ice box was full to the top, I would still like to know why it went like that in the first place in case it happens again it is a mystery. I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem. Or rather I did until today when the freezer started defrosting itself too.

It sounds very similar to the RS21 problem that is on the watchdog website, but as my fridge/freezer is 8 years old I don't think they are going to give two hoots about repairing it foc.

Defrost by turning off for 48 hours and the unit will work ok (for a while)

it sounds like the refrigerator evap is frozen up causing the compartment to get too hot. shut the unit off and let it thaw out. then take the screws out of the cover to check the stryrofoam on the back side of the cover to see if theres broken spots on it causing the air to bypass the evap causing it to freeze. Theres two screws behind the light cover and two at the very bottom of the cover and two behind the decorative plugs about 1/2 way
