All modern TV's can be used as computer monitors - you just need the correct cables and select the correct input on the TV.
What cable are you using to connect your PC to your TV? VGA or HDMI? Your listed TV has both ports but your computer may not have a HDMI port. Either way, connect the correct cable from your PC to your TV and note how the port is labeled.
Turn the TV on and then find the "Input Select" button on the remote and press it until the above port appears on the screen.
If you use the VGA port, you will need to hook up the audio from the PC to the "PC/DVI Audio In" port so the sound will play on the TV speakers.
an hdmi cable will do then hook up to hdmi port 1 and on tv select that input and it should work. of course the hdmi cable has to be hooked up to hdmi input on computer
This is just a guess here but I will go for it. Get the TV remote and select TV then find a button that says either device or input if there is a input button then select it this takes you to AVI or DVI or HDMI or TV or whatever selections you may have listed for your TV, this controls the inputs to your TV you will have to find out the input by slowly pressing each one of them with the HD box on or the HD cable connected and powered on forget about the player for the moment.
That would be later when you set the input or learn how to set the inputs. Because each remote is different I do not know the exact wording on your remote so you will have to bare with me here and see if you can find anything close to input or devices hopefully it will just say that on the remote. Make sure that you select the TV then the input if you find the right input you will see HD TV playing again on the TV. Now when you wish to hook up the DVD section of the TV you will have to choose either the button on the remote that says DVD and TV button you will be able to switch between each one. I hope that this assisted you kinda in the blind but I thought I would give it a good go at it.
Thanks for using FixYa! cast a vote for me if I assisted in any way. John
You need to look on the remote for a source or input button push that and as long as the hdmi cable is correctly hooked up it should than show up on the list of sources to select from
Hello. Do not use HDMI for this purpose, instead go to Walmart and get a usb cord that plugs into your tv. Then use the remote control for your TV to push input and locate your computer, usually at the bottom of the list. Regards, Joe
In the upper left hand corner of the DirecTv remote there is a button labeled "TV INPUT" just push that button. Each time you push it it will change the inputs for the TV. If that is not the problem, the remote needs to be programmed with a code for your TV. If that is the case push the MENU button under the circle in the middle of the remote. Scroll down to PARENTAL, FAV'S, & SETUP, push the yellow SELECT button in the middle of the circle, scroll down to SYSTEM SETUP, then scroll down to REMOTE and push the yellow SELECT button again. From there you should be right as rain. On my TV and setup, I have a device hooked up through DVI, but the TV won't recognize it unless it is powered on. In otherwords when pressing the TV input on my DirecTv remote it doesn't show the DVI device (PS3) unless it is powered on. I hope this helps and good luck. Please vote and leave a message.
mine did the same thing...it was on rgb...didn't have ability to plug in computer to tv as suggested previously and I kept trying to hit input button on side of tv after turning tv on..didn't work but when I pushed input button before turning on tv when i turned on tv input screen was up and was able to move input to hdmi...everything works now.
You can record. From antenna to converter box, from converter box to vcr. From vcr to TV.
TV on Channnel 3 VCR on channel 3, and set channel on converter box. Then Record.
Time recording works the same way, but you can set for only one channel at a time. Tht is the only restriction that I have not overcome. The converter box sets the channel. Gee Whizz
select the input button on your tv remote push it with a pause between pushes it will go back to the correct input some remotes have different names for input such as source or video but its the same thing
