Can't view youtube videos in ie 8 "You need

To install the latest version of Adobe flash player, kindly
follow below instructions:
1. Open web browser(like IE, Mozilla, etc) and go to
http://www.adobe.com
2. Click on "Downloads" section or tab
3. Once you are directed to the "Featured product
downloads" section, click on the "Get ADOBE FLASH PLAYER"
at the right side of the page.
4. You will then be directed to another page containing the
latest version of Adobe Flash Player (i.e. Adobe Flash
Player 11.1.102.55). Version may change from time to time.
If you do not want to install the Free Google Toolbar
kindly uncheck the box that says "Yes, install Google
Toolbar-optional "
5. Click on "Download Now". When you get the prompt or
security warning window just click "Run". If you get
another prompt asking "Do you want to run this software?"
just click "Run" again.
6. When User Account Control dialog box appears, click
"Yes".
7. Once installation is complete just click "Finish".

There's no flashplayer available for your BB curve. But If you're looking to view youtube videos it will be played automatically if you have the latest OS version for your BB device (my BB curve has v5.0.0.1036 and I can watch youtube videos).

Hey ! do you only see a black screen on YouTube ??

It's a flash player issue .

1. click start button, type Programs and Features in start search box and hit enter key.
2. look for flash player in the list and uninstall it.
3. now reset the settings of IE.

I guess you're using the Online Installer version.
Better use the Offline Installer, as you don't need the Adobe Downloader.

When you are on You Tube, most probably you need to update the flash player needed for your browsers ie IE or non-IE. to view the video files

You can update the flash player for your browsers @ http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

Well Sunkengarden, the videos you are watching on YouTube or any such websites are the Flash Player Applications. That means, the Browser on which you are trying watch the videos, needs Flash Player Application to be installed on your computer. Download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. This is what Youtube uses to stream videos.

rightclick somewhere in the spot where the movie is supposed to play.

Click settings.
Remove checkmark in "enable hardware acceleration"

Hi have you tried viewing any of no longer available vids on another computer as unless its a security/privacy setting under IE, which you should see from a flashing bar above the page your viewing, it sounds like a site problem.
