I want to leave my own answering message on my voicemail, how do I do that?
A friend gave me her phone and answering system and I don't have a manual to record my own 'voice' message, I don't want the "manly voice" to that comes with the machine !!
How can I record my own message? Thanks, Angelina.

Press Menu. Then the unit will say "record outgoing message" Press the REC/Memo button and the unit will say "recording" and beep. The display will start counting in seconds. Speak your message. Press the play/stop button to stop recording the message will be played back to you.

there is no setup required . when you get a call and do not answer people are directed to leave a message automatically . you can change the message if you want . read your manual as to how this is done
You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone service provider. This system records messages when people call while you're already on the phone (or don't answer the call). Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.
On most VTech phones the voicemail indicator turns on when someone leaves a message on the voicemail system offered by your phone company. Many phone companies have such a system, which takes messages when your phone is busy. You'll have to contact your phone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.
Leave yourself a message, listen to it, then save it in your voicemail box. This will reset the phone company's answer system. I only have the blinking problem when my voicemailbox with comcast is empty.
