Maytag Atlantis dryer 9 KG Model No. MDE8550AGW does this have :sensor dry?? or only dries by timer??

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Methinks you could do with a manual- for now and later! It should tell you.
Now- unfortunately FixYa cannot provide manuals direct - members of the forum are just people from all over the world, probably working from home, and not representing any particular manufacturer ;-0)
Manual
 You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)

Maytag atlantis dryer wont shut off. changed the timer and it still wont move.
send the model number.if this is electric try this.put it on air fluff and start it,if it has heat your element is bad,it's grounding out,part of the element is touching the metal case around the element.if it just did this on auto i would say change the cycling thermostat but on timed dry it just counts down like a clock.i saw this once and the element was bad,grounding out.it was tricky i thought it was the timer also.

check voltage to dryer, should be 220-240. check element, thermal fuse. could be in the timer but rare.

Maytag Atlantis MDE7400AYW timer has been replaced but the dryer won't stop drying on it's own. What is the reason? I have the same problem... the timer on mine doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?
The wire connections to the timer may have not been made correctly when it was replaced bypassing the OFF contact in the control circuit.  There should be a wiring diagram inside the front or back panel that you can check.

Maytag atlantis takes hours to dry one load.
Most common problem is something blocking the venting process, either somewhere in the vent tube itself,,, or somewhere in the venting system inside the dryer, like maybe the blower fan.

I have a Maytag Atlantis Gas Dryer that will turn on, rotate, but will not get hot and dry the clothes. A load of clothes in the afternoon, didn’t dry, tried again but didn’t dry – went to bed after putting on auto dry - next morning the dryer was still rotating and didn’t turn off. I have a Duet tumblefresh 4.0cuft W10284544A. The inlet pump was leaking so I fixed that and now the washer won't co into the spin after the rinse cycle. The washer drains completely after the wash cycle but when the rinse stops the light on the front goes back to wash and it starts beeping and won't stop until you either start the wash or shut off the unit
