Sorry for the late reply, I'm offline upon purchasing my service.

I have some question so that I can give you an accurate solution regarding on your problem.
1. Exact model no. of your unit - this is located on the back cover, manual, or on the receipt.
2. Does the unit has sound, before it goes blank?
3. Does the unit goes black or white screen?
4. Does the symptoms remain the same in all inputs(when watching TV, DVD, game console, etc)?

Please email me at [email protected] I will send you the copy of the repair/Service manual of your unit. The symptoms you've encountered right now is an indication of fault on the backlight inverter boards. I saw these board on shopjimmy.com

Check out www.insidemylaptop.com for pictures but if you remove the four rubber bungs in the corners of the display bezel and then remove the screws, the front bezel will come away from the screen allowing access to the wires. I suspect there is a plug hanging out.

If you turn the monitor off then about 1020 sec turn it back on and have a picture for five sec again it sound like the power supply in the monitor. but if that did not solve the problem, the picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault and will need to be replace.

I advice you replace the picture board on the screen of your monitor to solve the problem of the blank screen.

Disconnect the Z sustain board ribbon cables that go to the display and clean them with a small amount of acetone, ( nail polish remover ). ONLY THE COPPER TIPS ON THE RIBBON.....NOT THE RIBBON. Put those back in and do the same with the Y.
Z on the right Y on the left..

Monitor goes blank

Try restarting the computer in Safe Mode and then check. In case it flickers in Safe Mode too, then the LCD screen might be damaged and you might need to replace it.

i know your problem. its an inverter loose connection from CCFL to inverter output. back of your LCD inside the TV. try to remove and re-connect again. be sure no power and AC is unplugged. [email protected]

Craig portable dvd player CTFT701

My screen would flicker when you tilted it back and forth. Sometimes it would cut out and moving it would make it come back on. I took the battery off and opened the screen from the front(2 screws in hinge & 2 screws under rubber plugs). There is a ribbon plug inside. Mine looked kinked in one spot so I just repositioned it so the kink was in another spot. Everything worked fine after that. Hope this helps.
