I have a Maytag MDB5601AWS stainless steel dishwasher. It seems as though none of the buttons on the control panel are working with the exception of the lock button. When holding the lock button on the front panel, the lock light does light up. Holding it again disables it. Other than that, dishwasher will not start. Anyone have suggestions or ideas?

ok under the bottom kick-plate you will find a tech sheet first id start with where my power comes in under the kick plate second remove the front panel and check the door switches third check the control for a fuse or burned wires resistors etc refer to the tech sheet but it sounds to me like a power problem

There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest one is to check out www.applianceart.com and they have many different options for "wrapping" the front of your dishwasher. They change it often so if you don't see it, call the company becuase I know they have it.
