NO driver will make a monitor do what you want, that is a function of the actual VIDEO card that is what makes a monitor display the high resolutions, NOT the monitor itself, a monitor doesn't really need a driver as such to work at any resolutions. So try a Video card driver upgrade this may help?

No driver

Make sure the video card driver is as up to date as possible. If 7 is not available for it, an earlier Vista or XP usually work, but not always- if you load the same bit type- ie, 32 bit versions for 32 bit 7 and 64 bit versions for 64 bit 7.

Eventide took over that part of Princeton Digital's product line and have nothing listed in their support areas.

A nid drever 17" flat panel display. Model VL173

You do not need driver for monitor, but you do need driver for video card. You just have to make sure to set the resolution on your computer to the monitor native resolution.

I cannot get the Princeton VL 1716 to stay on the 32 bit color when I reboot.

This problem occurs when the incorrect video driver has been install in the computer. It defaults to generic VGA driver which does not allow any scope to change to a higher screen resolution and a higher bit color setting.

Where can I find the driver for a Princeton VL1919 monitor

Princeton Graphics VL2018W monitor does not require any drivers to function. If you have problems changing resolutions, color depth, or refresh rates, Please consult your video card manufacturer for a video driver or support. Your system will not identify the monitor if video drivers is not installed properly. I agree with this statement. You dont need drivers for monitors 99.9% of the time. Usually you video card is what is wrong if u cant change the resolution.

Dell 2407WFPb Monitor will not reset to 1920x1200

In display properties or ATI utilities, there may be an option such as 'hide modes this monitor doesn't support' or 'show all modes'. If so, you may be able to set your resolution by using this option.

Also, check in the BIOS for any settings related to display mode support. Otherwise, you will need to contact the Mboard manufacture site for possible BIOS settings probably limiting access to this resolution.

Wont work with new computer

Since this was a new out of the box computer, Safe Mode was not allowed. In order to change monitor settings (resolution), I had to use another monitor, in this case a newer CRT. With the CRT, the computer booted up, no problem. Once booted, I turned down the monitor resolution and saved. Now when the Princeton LCD was plugged in and the computer restarted, everything works fine. Now the resolution could be set to limits of the monitor.

Extended monitor resolution issues with gma 950 inspiron 6400 e1505

I've ran into similar problems with monitors before. Turns out that some monitors need their own driver installed in order to work with the video card, and, ?guess what?, they don't come with them. I usually find them at the manufacturer's site or driverguide.com Hope this helps, if not get back to me with the make and model and I'll do some research.
