Hi bernard_in_c, you can download the audio & VGA software directly from Asus. Click on the link below. Choose your operating system from the pop-up window than click search. The driver download page will open: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P4P800S-X An Asus pop-up window will open & you must choose your operating system from the dropdown menu. Than click the Search button.

Click the + sign next to the device you want to download. With the Asus P4P800S-X motherboard there is not a separate VGA driver. (The VGA graphics card is a PCI VGA integrated card).
The VGA driver is part of the chipset software. Open the + sign next to Other. Download, Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility 5.0.2.1003 for Windows.
By installing the chipset driver software (In a running system of windows), it will over-write all chipset drivers within your system. It is possible your windows may become wacky. Normally the chipset driver software is installed right after installing windows. (A fresh install).
Make sure you have the bios settings set correctly for the VGA/PCI. Open your manual to page 2-18 & set up per page 2-19. Go to Graphic adapter priority set this to, [PCI/AGP]. Next set the amount of system memory you want the graphics card to use. At the bottom of page 2-16, leave AGP/PCI frequency set to, [Auto].

If you run into any troubles, just post them here.
Good luck bernard_in_c!
Mike

Have you got the the chipset drivers installed?
If 'yes', and you have also got the lan drivers installed, then in BIOS settings, make sure the 'onboard lan' isn't set to 'disabled'
