First of all, thank you very much for choosing FIXYA today for your technical support needs.

Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/1009327L.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.

Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

I truly hope that was helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

The prefilter and the hepa lights are blinking-and i did add a new filter?

There might be a restriction of air flow. DId you know you can wash some HEPA filter out. Only ones made of fiberglass can be washed and reused. Cardboard HEPA filters should never be washed. Water will ruin the filters. When ever a vacuum cleaner looses suction, the foam (and or) felt filters are to blame not the HEPA's.

Just purchased Dyson DC33. There is air blowing out between the top of the plastic cover of the Hepa filter and base of the dust collector bin. Is this normal or? I have made sure the Hepa cover is tight...

Hi there,

I can confirm that the air you've noticed blowing out of the cleaner is simply the HEPA-filtered exhaust air being expelled back into the room. It's a feature of the cleaner's design, and is nothing to be concerned about.

How to install the back hepa filter on canister vacuum cleaner. We are not sure which direction the air flows and therefore which way the arrows should point. Should the arrows point into the vacuum...

The arrows in this case should point out of the machine. not into the machine. This is because you want the black rubber seal to seal on the machine and force the air through the filter.

Good luck.

Kenmore canister vacuum will not turn on

No, the only effect of not cleaning them would be decreased air flow and consequently . The time between changing filters depends on how much the vacuum cleaner is used. Common failures are damaged cords and a damaged or failed power switch

Kenmore progressive 360 vacuum cleaner has low suction

Check the tube that leads down to the brush head for clogging as well as any motor or HEPA filters. If that still shows nothing, take the cover off the brush head (like you're changing the belt) and look for obstructions in there. Usually, if you have low suction on the accessory hose, the problem is with a motor filter, HEPA filter, or a clog where the hose goes into the unit. If you have good suction on the accessory hose but none on the floor, it's usually in the brush head (clog or broken belt) Good luck

I have a kenmore whispertone 5.1 and need to find out if it has a hepa filter. I don't think so..... Thank you!

Hi If its the same as the one shown here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/KENMORE-WHISPERTONE-12AMP-HEPA-VACUUM-WARRANTY-AVE_W0QQitemZ310151428708QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4836773a64&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
That model has a HEPA filter.
Otherwise the older models don't have them and rely purely on Allergy bags that you can buy for your vacuum.

I own a self-propelled Hoover Wind Tunnel vacuum cleaner (Model U6425-920). I do now have an owner's manual and was wondering how to clean the HEPA filter on this model (*this model uses a vacuum cleaner bag also).
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to clean the HEPA filter is to take it outside and use a blower over the trash can and blow off the dust and dirt, or use things like an old paint brush and brush it off, or you can vacuum it off with another canister vacuum or shop vac if you have an extra one. For the best filtration is to replace it, there fore the air flow will catch most of the dust and dirt and then you would have to watch how fast it gets dirty and then do the maintenance.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
