SOURCE: JVC Subwoofer problem.

You may have a break in the wire. You can find out by slowing moving your fingers down the wire until you notice sound coming from the subwoofer. You can fix it yourself by cutting about an inch away from the break both ways. Then cuttings some of the wire off, so the copperwire is exposed. then wrap the two copperwire ends together and seal it with elections tape. or Try replacing the 60 watt subwoofer wire.

Yes ! all you have to do is go to radio shack and tell them you want a coaxil to RCA adapter (screw coaxial into wallplate and plug RCA end into sub and your all set!)

Woofer is humming

Usually a faulty cable or blown speaker will cause a humming. If it is a constant humming I would surmise a faulty cable. On the other hand, if the humming comes and goes I would guess a faulty speaker.

Sounds like a Ground loop, your TV plugged is plugged into a different outlet than your stereo is.

Acoustimass Subwoofer has a low "hummm" sound when turned on.

Sounds like an inadequate ground wire in the signal cable. You may have to replace the cable between the reciever and bass module. It also, however, may be IN the bass or reciever module.

Inifinity Entra Sub not working

The hum can be from the power supply not properly filtering, and or the output stage also has a short.

There is the chance that the speaker driver coil is now burned, or the power supply is now dead. If ther output stage is shorted and was putting DC on to the speaker cone, this will burn it very easily.

You should sent the unit out and have it serviced, unless you are properly trained, have the service and engineering manuals, and the test equipment to follow up on a proper repair and calibration.
