There are several nuts on a faucet but I'm assuming you mean the plastic nuts that hold the faucet to the sink. They many times do jam up. To get them off you need to use a large flat head screw driver and a hammer and chisel them off. Chisel from the outside edge in toward the threads on two different sides.

Not to sure I can help on this .....but some models come with a aerator removal wrench, packaged with faucet.......

Hi. Don't force the handle. There are seals and machined passage ways down below. More than likely some foreign material has lodged itself into faucet. The water will need to be shut off and the faucet will need to be cleaned, repaired or replaced. FYI: A whole house water filter or inline water filter will help. Any questions please let me know. GT529-YPk faucet leaking
If this is a new installation, shut off the water supply to the faucet and dismantle to get at part number "974-074" under the handle. It probably has some debris from theinstallation caught up in that part.

You can use the plumbers putty on granite. If you do not want to you can also use some clear silicone. If you use the silicone make sure that you wipe off the exsess before it dries.

If you look closely at part 25a, you will find two flat spots on each side of the ring. Clamp those flat areas with vice grips and turn.
