The mouse on the laptop has stopped working. I have changed over the mouse itself thinking it was a problem with the mouse, but it worked for about 30 minutes before it stopped working again.

Check to see if it's a driver issue:
check in device manager for a ? or a ! next to the pointing device: go start>right click my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager and look for a yellow symbol with a ! triangle or a yellow "?"sign... if you find this under ponting device you have most likely a driver issue,

check the manufacturer's website for an updated driver for you pointing device and reinstal the driver.

The mouse is no working correctly, it is just working the arrow but not the enter

firstly, have you tried using an external mouse yet?

I think it's the mouse left clip faulty, one of the common problems that most people face.

try using external usb mouse and see if it solve the problem.
if not then re-install the laptop itself.

thankyou

there should be a connect button on the bottom of the mouse, if that doesnt work try removing and reinserting the usb receiver on the computer itself.

Microsoft wireless notebook laser mouse 6000 not working

I have a miscrosoft wireless laser mouse 6000, and it also stopped working on my laptop. I changed the battery, still no workie. I tested the battery in another device, and it was good. I moved the mouse to another computer, and it did not work. The light on the usb connector was lit. [No changes at all to my laptop.]. It seemed like there was no power to the mouse, and I looked at the contacts inside the mouse. The contact just inside the mouse's opening for the battery appeared to be bent down (away from the contact on the battery tray). So, I pulled it up a little so it would connect when the battery drawer closed, and (after tweaking it a couple of times), it finally worked!

Problem with my Mouse cursor

If it's an external mouse you are using with the slow dragging problem then it could be a problem with the mouse itself ,internal ,try to clean the pad with a moist cloth while laptop is off.
Also look in the mouse setting and change the pointer speed.
Also try a plain coloured mouse pad and not one with mixed colours.
Download the vga driver from here and reinstall it :
