My remote controls to my Toshiba TV stopped working yesterday. I have three different remotes to the TV, Once in a while I may get it to actually change the channel ,or turn the volume up or down. But it will only do it ramdomly and then it wont do it again. Ive reprogrammed my remotes, and changed the batteries in them, So I dont think thats the problem. Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

It is not with the remote, it is in the TV. I read on 1 forum that the eye can have a bad solder connection, but I haven't checked into it.

While at the device location (TV, etc), point the remote at the device. Press and hold the device button on the remote (TV, Aux, etc). - All four mode buttons should light up
Enter the three-digit remote control code - The mode button (TV, Aux, etc.)you selected should light up
Press the Pound (#) button - The mode button you are programming should flash three times
Press the large, red POWER button - The device should turn off

[3] Find the "Recall" or "Setup" button on the Toshiba remote control. After you find it, press and hold down that button until the lights on the remote control turn on and remain lit.
[4] Point the Toshiba remote at the device you turned on in Step 2 and press the button on the remote for that device.
[5] Begin pressing the "Power" button on the Toshiba remote. Continue doing this until you have turned the device off using the Toshiba remote. Once it shuts off, press "Enter" on the Toshiba remote. The remote will then be programmed.

3.Find the "Recall" or "Setup" button on the Toshiba remote control. After you find it, press and hold down that button until the lights on the remote control turn on and remain lit.

Instructions for addressing the remote to the TV
Turn the Television On
Press and Hold the TV Mode button until all other mode buttons light up red.
Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
Press the pound(#) button. Note: The LED will flash three times.
Test functionality with the TV
Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the
volume and mute the television.
I have been seeing a lot of Toshiba remote "eyes" (the infra-red receiver inside the TV) fail recently. If several known good remotes cannot control the TV then the IR receiver will have to be replaced. If you have no experience soldering and unsoldering PC boards then have a qualified tech handle it for you.
