Make sure your print cartridges have enough ink in them for printing.
Print quality issues could be due to dirty or clogged print cartridge nozzles. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:
Using the Lexmark Solution Center:

  1. Click Start > Programs > Lexmark X6100 Series > Lexmark X6100 Series All-In-One Center.
  2. From the Maintenance tab, click Clean to fix horizontal streaks.
  3. Click Print. A nozzle page prints, forcing ink through the nozzles to clean the clogged nozzles.
  4. Print your document again to verify that your print quality has improved.
If the problem continues, try to insert a different known working color cartrdidge or better yet replace it with a new genuine Lexmark cartridge.
If that doesn't help, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

Why my epson 600 workforce prints pink or magenta

printer mixes colors to get final color. So if it prints Magenta then it may be missing Blue or Cyan. Try printing a blue color or a Cyan.
Suggest forcing printer to do a deep clean if ink tanks are full.

"Open the Applications folder, open the EPSON Printer Utility3, select WF 600 Series, and click OK. Then select Head Cleaning. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to start the cleaning cycle, which lasts around 2 1/2 minutes."

Sounds like you need a new colour cartridge; or perhaps the colour printhead needs to be cleaned.

I have new photo (58) and color (57) carts and when I print wallet size (9 pics per 8.5x11 photo paper) the first 3 print true color and the last 6 are blue. I have cleaned the rollers and still do not...

hello, you are using the photo color ink cart, have you tried running a cleaning cycle or test print, the reason why i ask, is that maybe 1 of the colors is not printing, the test pages would prove what color is missing, if black not printing, it would print possible blue, or no black at all. i know you have put in new inks, but since the volume of ink in these cartridges run out according to usage, one color might run out before the others, and since black and yellow are the most used colors, without them your prints will show color faults.

When my screen shows that some items are to print in blue they actually print in red.

Sounds like you are missing cyan. Change the cyan cartridge. If you have not used color on the printer recently, the head may be blocked.

If the head is blocked, try putting the color cartridge on a piece of * slightly * damp piece of paper towel. This should draw color out of the head onto the paper. Once you get blue (cyan), you should try printing again.

Hp officejet v40. new cartridge but missing blue when printing

Sounds like your cyan print head is clogged. You can try to get it flowing yourself by rubbing the print head with a wet paper towel. If you press the print head on a dry paper towel you should see three distinct lines of color. If you still don't see the cyan, try letting the print head rest on the wet paper towel on a surface that ink can be cleaned up from or one you don't care about staining. If the cyan still won't flow, you should go back to where you purchased it and return it for a new one.

Printer will only print in purple/pink,enstalled new colour cartridge configured as required, still no change. help thank you

Print out a calibration sheet, either from the menu, or press photo and cancel at the same time. Your calibration sheet is probably missing a color. You should have black, blue, yellow, and magenta(pink). If you're missing any of these colors, your printhead is clogged. Try doing a printhead cleaning. Print another calibration sheet, if the color is still missing, you need a new printhead. Call Kodak.

Horizontal colored lines through grayscale printed photos

Hi George,

It sound's like an ink-feed issue:

1) Dirty heads, even after cleaning
2) No-ink or poor quality ink
3) Damaged head: some are part of the cartridge, some are not
4) Air bubbles in ink

The test page is typically not as hi-res nor as saturated as a
photo print. The hi-res photo puts the greatest demand on the print head.

The color lines you see are actually lines of missing color,
where the head has failed to deposit ink, so one or two primary
colors are missing from the complete picture.

For example missing yellow will make a blue line.
Missing magenta will make a green line
Missing cyan will make a red line.... etc..

Clean the heads again and again, print again and again,
hoping to flush the system.

BUT, keep in mind that cleaning wastes huge amounts of
ink and tiny little cartridges of ink cost more than many new printers.
