I get a CD ERR msg when trying to load any of the 6 CD's. I can here the changer tryign to load but I'm not sure how the unit works to determine if it's loading. Problem started slowly with getting error intermittently, some slots more than others. Now it won't play any CD's at all.

Could be the classic dirty lense syndrom... If you know how to get to it, expose the laser lense, and gently brush any accumulated dust/dirt from it. There might be multiple slots, but only 1 lense. If you have a cd cleaner available you might want to try that out first, it doesn't always do the same job, but it can save you the risk of something else happening when you open it up. Good luck

SOURCE: Jammed cd drawer

The best solution is to take off the top cover. It's easy to remove with, I believe, four screws. The carousel is located right underneath the cover, so all the CD's will be exposed. However, I don't think that this will solve the problem of not happening again, since this seems to be a problem with this particular model.

SOURCE: ERROR CODE HH3 ON SCREEN

The laser may be failing, or there is a fault in the circuits that read the laser.

Your unit can only be factory serviced. If it is a no name brand, it cannot be properly serviced, unless you know of someone who has a parts source that they can try and wing it.

If the unit is a no-name brand, and also with many of the name brands, during the warranty period they exchange the unit for a new one. If the unit is out of warranty, they are rarely worth the cost to service them.

SOURCE: CD CHANGER

well its really easy to fix just take the side panels off of the cd player its self and then open your disc drive and youll see the disc changer rise up and start to move then all you do is pull all of the cds off of the changer and out of you disc drive and that solves the problem unless your player is out of timing in that case i cant help yet

SOURCE: 6 Disc Changer > Err

Don't waste your money and buy those repair manuals. There is an easy fix for this. The rootcause is most likely related to your disc tray (crooked carrier or broken spring). Just get a small screwdriver and take out the two black srews of the inner faceplate, covering the cassette tray itself. Please make sure you do not drop those tiny screws. Use a magnetic tip screw driver. Take the faceplate off. You will see a litlle lever in the center. Just push it aside and your cassette will pop out with no problem. That simple. So don't waste your money!!!

Hi i have a Honda Accord 2006 SE. It has a 6 disc CD changer and it had been working fine. Suddenly now i am seeing CR ERR message and CDs dont play anymore. Whenever i turn on the CD player it says CD...

Personally I would just replace the radio. In dash changers go bad easily and are basically just a problem waiting to happen. The average life span of an in dash changer is about two years.

2000 jeep grand cherokee limited 10 disk cd changer says ''err''

The in-trunk units have a tendancy to go bad. you can take the cover plastic interior cover off to access the CD changer, un bolt the changer, and visualy inspect the two rollers for debris, or missing /broken gears that move the rollers to take the CD from the CD cartrage to the player. if that looks fine, chances are that the laser went bad (common in rear mount units) and you can order a new one from Jeep, or you can remove it and update the in-dash head to an aftermarket of your choice (& yes you steering wheel controls will still work). you could also fit a more modern MP3 unit where the Changer was.

Err message on 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 10 CD changer

I had a similar problem which responded to the use of a CD cleaner disc to clean the laser lens reading the CD. The "err" messages stopped and the changer started to work as it had before. Perhaps this will correct your problem too.

CD ERR 1

Have a 2005 Freelander and the battery died. When I re-charged the battery, the CD changer had a CD ERR 1 message. Could not eject or load a CD and the radio worked. I turned off the radio and pulled off the cover on top of the CD changer. I removed the two screws that hold the frame around the CD changer. I turned the CD back on and the CD went through a test on each CD. I know this solution might not work for everyone, but it worked for me

Not sure what the problem is

Check the changer and see if cds are inserted correctly or if 2 cds are in one slot.

M&S Systems MCD-6 6 Disc CD Changer display of "err 01" message

I do not know these units but I have worked on multiplay and many devices, the main reasons I found is either lubrication and or drive belts.

Over time belts stretch from decay as they age also silicon based grease I have found becomes divided between a liquid and paste with the liquid part making a puddle on a units lower area.
This causes things not to operat within a suitable time due to friction or lack of power from those belts which result in error numbers.

A good service is the only answer with a good service engineer who I am sure will enjoy cleaning out the residue slime, clean parts and relubricate. Sarcastic of me maybe but it was to make you aware that it may be costly due to time involved.

Hope this helps.....
