Question about HP Photosmart Premium C309A All-In-One Printer

HP Photosmart Premium c309a series smudging wedding invitation envelopes badly. I can print the invitations and everything else just fine. Any suggestions? Thank you.

When you go to print your envelope and click the print command - a window will open with the name of your printer and a box that says properties. click on properties. Change the type of envelope stock to match what you are printing on in the next window. If you are using photo paper envelope with a glossy finish, make sure that is the print media you have set for your printer. If not, the ink will just keep smudging. it's very important to match the print stock (matte, glossy, premium ect).

I am trying to print wedding invitations and a black line prints down the left side of the envelope. I have tried cleaning the printer, but it has not helped. Do you have any suggestions? My printer is...

Black printer ink in HP Printers may fail to be recognized by the printer. Sometimes the printer may accept to print with the black ink, but the printouts may have horizontal lines and very illegible letters. Even though you've run the cleaning utility on the printer, a manual cleaning of the print head should be carried out. In doing the manual cleaning, one should spray Windex heavily on paper towel and wipe off the surface of the print head.

I'm trying to print envelopes for my wedding invitations. I am using Word 2008 on my iMac and when I go to test print one envelope, my HP c4280 wants me to fill my media tray..why won't it print an...

maybe your envelope is just too thick for your printer..

How to print 5 X 8 invitations on an HP Photosmart C309a printer

I think it's more or less the same on Mac or PC. Hit Print in your software, then when the dialogue box comes up you should see several options settings. There will be a pull-down menu that lets you choose paper size. (This menu is sometimes buried in another sub menu called "printer options" or something similar. It can be tricky to find this in some apps like Photoshop). Just select your 5x8 size and then at the top of the dialogue box you should be able to save it all as a preset. Pull down the "preset" tab and select "Save As..." then you can name it and pull it up each time later.

Can't print envelopes correctly on HP C309a. First it said "mismatched paper size." I corrected that and now it prints in the wrong place.

Is it possible to scan an image on to an envelope with HPC309 printer?

HP Photosmart Premium c309a series will not print envelopes. I keep getting an error message that says paper mismatch. It doesn't matter what size envelope I put in, it always gives me an error message....

Try This :
Try printing from micrsoft word; Click on tools;
Click on Envelopes and Labels
Click on "OPTION"
Under the TAB Envelope Option you will get Evelope Size;
Scroll Down to the bottom you will get an option "Custom Size " Select it;
Set the accurate size of the envelope;
Click on Printing Options
Select the Feed method and make sure you do it the same way;
And then try to print this should resolve your Issue

Envelopes keep getting stuck

Open Ms word >> click on tools >>click on letter and mailing >> click on envelop and labels >>click on feed >> click on envelop option >> can change the size from the drop down option.

This will resolve your issue.

Need to print a half-fold card envelope with HP Photosmart C4480

I'm printing wedding invitation envelopes (or A6) and had to set both my C4480 and psc1315 to a regular size 8.5x11 letter size but changed my margins to reflect the smaller size for my envelope with the left side of the screen being the more narrow margin. After adjusting the top margin accordingly, I fed the envelopes, flap side down and straight into the printer and voila...envelope addresses are printed. Good luck. Blu

Paper mismatch

Hi kingwa55,

I have an hp photosmart c4480 and was having the same problem printing wedding invitations. Same size 5.5"x8.5'. Im not sure if this will work on your printer, but this is what I had to do.

Click on Print, then Properties, then features.
About half way down there is a drop down box under sizing options.
Click on custom
Create a name, and put your width and height in.
Click Save and then OK
Completely X out of the print options.
Then Click
File, print, properties,features, click the drop down box under sizing options.
Click more and scroll to the bottom and it should be there.

If your options are different then mine, I'm sorry for wasting your time.
