Mastertech tv sound but no picture

If your Mastertech TV has sound but no picture, it could be caused by a few different issues. Some possible solutions include:
 1. Check the TV's cable connections: Make sure all cables (e.g. HDMI, AV, power) are securely connected to the TV and the source device (e.g. cable box, DVD player).
 2. Check the source device: Make sure the source device (e.g. cable box, DVD player) is working properly and that it's set to the correct input.
 3. Check the TV's settings: Check the TV's picture settings (brightness, contrast, color) and make sure they are set correctly. You can also try resetting the TV to its default settings.
 4. Check for a hardware issue: If none of the above solutions work, the issue could be caused by a hardware problem with the TV. This could be a problem with the TV's screen, the circuit board, or the backlight. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a repair professional to have the TV serviced.
 5. Check if the TV is in the correct input, some TV's have multiple HDMI input and the cable is connected to another HDMI port.
 6. Check if the TV has any physical damage, such as a cracked screen or a damaged cable.
It's possible that one of the above solutions will resolve the issue, but if not, it's best to consult the TV's manual or contact the manufacturer or a professional repair technician for further assistance.

How to Fix a Polaroid LCD TV Screen

A Polaroid LCD TV delivers its picture via DVD player or cable connection to your home or office. After setting up your device and using it, you might experience technical difficulties with power loss and picture quality. Navigating through a few steps of self-maintenance will have your Polaroid TV running smoothly again in little time. You can examine your TV's power cord for damage, rewire a DVD player connection, and adjust your Polaroid's backlight.
Difficulty:Moderate Instructions

Turn your Polaroid around so that the back is facing you, as a first step in correcting a power loss issue. Examine the length of the power cord from the back panel of the Polaroid to the wall outlet for damage, such as tears or rips. Replace the cord, if you see damage. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet and inspect the metal receptors (prongs) for dirt. If the prongs are dirty, clean them with a dry cleaning cloth. Plug a separate electrical device into the outlet and turn it on to confirm that the outlet is performing correctly. Plug the Polaroid TV back into the outlet, and try again.

Twist the Polaroid TV's back panel towards you so that the connected cables and jacks are easily accessible to you. If you're experiencing problems getting a picture from your DVD player, inspect the connection of the audio/video cables to your "Composite In" jacks. There are three cables in a standard audio/video setup: a yellow cable, a red cable, and a white cable. Unplug all three cables from their jacks to reset the connection. Insert the yellow-tipped cable into the "Video" port, which is yellow-colored to make matching the cables easier. Insert the white-tipped cable into the "L" (left audio) port and the red-tipped cable into the "r" (right audio) port. Perform the same steps on the audio/video cable out ports of the DVD player, and try again.

Raise the TV's backlight level, if you're having trouble seeing the picture. Push the "Menu" button (located on your remote control), and the TV setup menu will appear. Use the navigation buttons located on your remote control to scroll to "Image," and push "Ok" -- located within the navigational buttons on your remote control. A list of options will be displayed, such as "Contrast," "Hue," and "Saturation." Choose "Brightness" from the options. Use the four-way navigation buttons to raise the brightness (make your screen brighter and more illuminated) or lower the brightness (make your screen darker).

Bose Lifestyle v30 home theater connected to a Sony Blu-ray player - lately when I switch to DVD, the Bose system switches from PCM 2.0 to AAC and kills the sound. Help!

It sounds like there may be a compatibility issue between your Bose Lifestyle V30 home theater system and the Sony Blu-ray player when switching to the DVD input. The change from PCM 2.0 to AAC audio format might be causing the loss of sound. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue: Check Blu-ray Player Audio Settings: Access the audio settings on your Sony Blu-ray player and ensure it is set to output PCM audio (if available). Some Blu-ray players have options to change the audio output format. Setting it to PCM 2.0 might help maintain audio compatibility with your Bose system. Check Bose System Settings: Review the audio settings on your Bose Lifestyle V30 system related to the DVD input. Make sure it is configured to accept PCM audio. Refer to the Bose user manual for instructions on how to access and adjust the audio settings. Firmware Updates: Check if there are any firmware updates available for both the Sony Blu-ray player and the Bose Lifestyle V30 system. Manufacturers often release updates to address compatibility issues and improve overall performance. Reset Bose System: Try performing a factory reset on your Bose Lifestyle V30. This can sometimes clear any configuration issues that may have arisen. Test Different Audio Inputs: Check if the issue persists when connecting the Blu-ray player to a different audio input on your Bose system (e.g., AUX, HDMI, etc.). This will help determine if the problem is specific to the DVD input or if it affects multiple inputs. Alternate Audio Connection: If possible, try using a different audio connection between the Blu-ray player and the Bose system. For example, if you are using HDMI, try using optical or analog audio cables (and vice versa). Contact Bose Support: If the issue persist

Green vertical lines across the screen.

Green lines on LCD screens generally means physical damage. Did you drop it or bump it by chance? Physical could also include the cable that you are using. Try using a different cable, or make sure it is connected all the way.

Dell 32" HD TV flashes black every few minutes

You may want to make sure it's a Yamaha by seeing how the TV displays when connected directly to a cable box or DVD. Also try different HDMI or component inputs to see if it's something in the input connection you're using.

Picture fades in and out

Some newer TV's are equipped with a ROOM SENSOR which will change the Contrast and Brightness according to the amount of light going into the Sensor. While watching DVD's or Movies the output of light from the TV screen changes sometimes affecting the Sensor. While Computers are pretty consistent with light output. Go into your TV Menu and look for ROOM SENSOR or something similar and turn it off. If not then check in the TV Menu Video controls and see if there are any Contrast or Brightness functions set to AUTO. If so grab a DVD with THX and they have a TV Calibration that is very easy to set-up your TV too.
