Hoping to be of help after the spin dry wouldnt work on our hoover elite 1210.
It would do the wash cycle fine but as soon as it needed to drain, it wouldn't.
My handy man (Husband) is great at fixing things and opened the front panel by undoing the screws.
Near the motor on the bottom left, there is a wheel/fan looking thing.
(Turn the machine off first)
He tried to spin the wheel but it would only move clockwise and not anti-clockwise like it is supposed to.
So he gave the fan a few spins clockwise before giving it a gentle pull outwards in which it loosened the wheel and was able to move anticlockwise again.
We then turned the machine on and it started spinning and draining the machine.
This machine is a work horse and I refuse to get another. They don't make them like they used to!!
Mine has a leak and we use a drip tray underneath at the moment. So long as it works. I am happy.
Hope this helps someone else with the same problem.

SOURCE: Bad vibration during spin

Good morning! It's common to a washing machine to go out of balance everytime we exceeded the prescribed capacity load (as indicated in the enclosed manual upon purchase of the unit). the fitted new pump is not the source of such problem. Please try to review the manual of your machine and take note of the required capacity load which I think should not exceed 6kg. Best regards.

Hi just read your posting. Now what wash temperature have you selected for the wash ?Is it cold , warm, or hot?Does it start to fill at all for the wash cycle?I have the same model at home so I know the model well.If it fills and does not wash it could be the timer or the reversing module. please reply and I can guide you throe step by step to rectify this fault.By the way does it finish filling on wash and not start the motor at all?Hope this helps, awaiting on your response.

My Hoover Elite 1210 toploading washing machine seems to make a horrible off balance sound on the spin cycle - even when there is a small load on. What can I do to fix it?

I have a Hoover 550 MB Top Loader washing machine . The cycle won't move from wash to spin . it doesn;t progress out of wash cycle , it stays there forever .

Will the unit spin if you manually turn the timer dial to spin? If so, remove power, remove the clock motor from the timer, and inspect the clock and mating timer gearing for debris or damaged gear teeth. At the worst, replace the timer. You may be able to scrape or file the damaged teeth so that the timer will progress.
