SOURCE: replacment of bulb on dwin transvision 3 plus ceiling mounted

It is fairly simple. Take the unit down as you need to get to the underside. There you will see the retaining screws that hold the cover on. Remove these and open the unit. Inside you will see the bulb and mounting bracket. Off hand I don't remember exactly how it is held in place but there are a number of screws and a lead to disconnect to remove it.

Have optoma ep738mx projector is set for ceiling mount want to change to desk mount

Need to check on the menu to see if the provision is possible , open menu and scroll to see if the screen can be inverted. If not you will need to get help from Optoma dealer , Check on the rear for any trip switch to change the settings as I do not have the manual for reference.

Purchased 2006. Ceiling mounted. Just stared overheating after approx 10 minutes after last bulb replacement in March of 2010. Floor fan pointed at projector helps. Tried cleaning. Running right side...

Yes, if bulb was low price and was installed in old lamp casing then it is bulb that is not good and creating too much heat that exhaust fan can't throw out to make projector cool enough so temp sensor activates and send over heat signal to system control chip thus projector shuts down.
Please install original lamp that comes with casing to solve this issue.
If lamp was original then check exhaust fan that might be running slowly due to stiffness in bearing so temp sensor finds over temp in projector.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

The image of my optoma hd803 became inverted.

Go into menu settings, look for a menu item that has to do with screen size and orientation. You'll be looking for the option to rotate the image for mounting the projector upside down on a ceiling mount.

Optoma EP757 displays green image when input connected. Initial splash screen displays fine. All colours are the way it should be but as soon as a video source is connected, it displays the image in...

I would suggest replacing the type of cable you are using. Changing the type of connection, such as S-Video or VGA or something other than what you are using, may resolve this issue as well. Because the splash screen comes up normal, this tells us that the issues lies not with the device but with whatever it is you are connecting it to. Comment back if this does not resolve the issue and we can move further.

Good Luck,

The optoma hd72 projector lamp goes out after 30 seconds.. the big game is this weekend... what can I do?

I had this exact same problem. I have changed bulbs gotten 1000 or so hours from new bulb, changed the lamp driver and gotten about 600 more hours from new lamp driver. New lamp cost me $350, lamp driver cost me $120. Then I read on a page to try and flip it right side up, because I had it ceiling mounted upside down. I flipped it right side up and it works perfectly and has been working perfectly for 2 months now. I know it sounds stupid, but it actually worked for me, and it costs you nothing to try it. For some reason, gravity effects this unit.

EP 757 Intermittent powering down

Pls check if the lamp is not so old that is giving the same problem. If lamp is almost new, then you can have a check with the Ballast unit card and then the loose connection in the Power supply or may be overheating and tripping.
