You most likely need to replace the High Voltage Power Supply (Part# WH773). Iteminc.com has this part in stock and can ship same day. The sensor which reads if the door is open can go bad and it is part of the HVPS. Here is a video that explains this error and shows you how to replace it. This will fix this problem 90% of the time, just make sure you set the HVPS correctly on TOP of the actuator (plastic piece that hits the switch). If for some reason this does not work, check that the actuator is not broken and try reseating the HVPS and try again. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I have a 1997 ford thunderbird lx and the other day when i went to close the door when i got out it,it wuldnt shut i slammed it a couple times n it still wouldnt shut i really need help because i cant...

Here's something that might help you. Look at the door theres a little hook that grabs the striker on car, hold the door handle "open" and move the hook to the open position try to close the door. That should solve your problem. Hope that helps you.

Problem with paper feed. frequent message: carriage jam, open top. No apparent jams, cleaned rollers, slider bar, etc, problem persists

Hi,

Turn off the printer

Open the Rear Access Door,
Clean the rollers ( upwards ) with a lint free cloth ( little damped in water )
Close the Door

Open the Front access door, Check if there are any paper pieces stuck,
Remove the cartridges out and Install back.

Close the Door and turn on the printer.

It should work.

Ron

I had a paper jam in the printer and I believe that I removed the jam, however I'm getting an error message that the back door is open and to close it. I have tried to do this. I can't see that anything...

The switch/sensor or actuator for the rear door may be damaged or out of place. The switch is located on the High Voltage Power Supply (Part# WH773). Iteminc.com has this part in stock and can ship same day. The sensor which reads if the door is open can go bad and it is part of the HVPS. ImageCLASS 2300 not printing, check printer cover message

Had the same problem spent 2 hours opening and closing everything trying to reset turn off and on etc. Here is how I fixed it, slammed all the doors on left side starting with above cartridge to cartridge door and 2 little doors by paper hard - and I mean hard - and whammo error cleared immediately. Sensors that check for open door obviously stick and report they are open when they are really closed. I am sure this saved me an expensive service call.

Screen says open door clear cartridge jam, press enter. nothing is jamming it.

Open the printer and remove the cartridges and reinsert one at a time carefully. That should take care of it.

This can also happen if any of the covers are not perfectly in place or if there is a small sliver of paper or even dust being sensed by the printer. Open the covers and look for paper parts, slivers or dust and clean out if you find it. Then carefully make sure each cover is closed. Sometimes if you slam them shut the cover can distort enough to not close properly and is being detected as open. You also want to remove the paper trays and check there for jams and make sure the paper feeds correctly.

The system says that the rear door is open but no matter how many times I open and close it the message still appears. Is there another rear door that I don't know about?

Sometimes there is a small bit of paper stuck in there, or even a whole sheet, so check for a paper jam there. Always press start after clearing a jam, especially if you have to open the front cover, remove the drum and put it back in. I found that removing and reinstalling the drum solves a lot of print problems.

Paper jam

try this....
try this, its probably a small part of jammed paper or then theres a problem with the pickup, try cleaning it.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

2005 Chevy Tahoe back door won't stay open...slams shut

no you probably have to change the lift gate struts/supports that are on the liftgate itself. very easy to do and they sell them at the autoparts store i would say for around 30-60 bucks

Back cover open message

I had the same error message. I also tried every compartment... Here's ultimately what my problem/solution was...

I turned the printer around and fully opened the back cover. I found that one of my kids had somehow fed a small piece of paper/cardboard into the printer. When I opened the back cover all the way I could see that obstruction (which I hadn't seen before). Pulled it out, and the error message went away. Works fine now.
