Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. You have a burn in problem from watching widescreen movies. If you have access to a signal generator or tv setup disc run a perfectly white screen on the plasma for about 30 min. This should help even out the pixels on the display.
Reinstalled sound drivers?
Checked your speaker cord to make sure it comes into the green hole on the back?
made sure your speaker wires are not broken?
Volum on the speakers?
Control pannel> Sound> Speaker Icon: Are the controls HIGHLIGHTED? If not sound driver is not loaded.
