Your remote may be faulty.
I would either take it to an autozone and check it is working there ( they have an infrared remote check on their keyless remote battery center that will show the IR signal being sent).
OR
you can point it at almost any of the security cameras in production and view the 'IR flashlight' on the video screen/ monitor.
If the remote is in fact not producing a light , I will assume the unit needs replacement batterys or remote.
Alternately , you can disassemble the remote and check the IR emitter with an Ohm/Volt meter.
should the signal be present on the meter and yet no 'light' is being emitted , then replace the emitter with a new one (avail. at radio shack...)
If the remote does emit a signal , chances are the reciever is bad.
My Jensen came with two remotes... did you try the other one ?
