Westinghouse LTV32W6HD 32 in. LCD Television Logo
Anonymous Posted on Oct 03, 2011

My son bought this TV and had it hooked up to a cable connection with an HDMI cable and it worked fine. He gave the TV to me and I hooked it up to a basic cable connection with no cable box. It does not get the regular cable channels like all our other TV's do. Instead, it gets channels like 98.2, 98.3, 98.6, 99.3, 99.5, etc. Is there a way for me to get the regular cable channels (2, 7, 8, 22,53, etc) like our other TV's?

If your TV has an On-screen Menu you should be able to access your Tuner controls. Run your auto channel scan and you should pick up your "regular channels". You may be able to de-select the odd channels and show only the ones you want to use.

Did you get your problem fixed? My LC320EM8 is doing the same. The scan only picks up odd number channels like 99.3, 99.5, 100.6, etc. with the cable hooked direct to the TV. When I run the cable from the cable box to the TV it will not show the video but I hear the audio.

I have a new slimline DVD and a sony bravia HD tv. My PS3 worked with the basis cable and I recently purchased an HDMI cable and now it won't work on any of my 6 AV channels, including 1 of the 2 HDMI...

Hi,

All you have to do is reset the video settings on the PS3. Hold down the power button until you hear a single beep, then press it again.

That should have reset the video settings so you can play on the new TV.

Regards.

Xbox elite connected to TV thru HDMI works fine, but connected via bcs-fs500 receiver = no audio or video Cable tv through receiver works fine Have tried cable tv through receiver inputs HDMI 1 and 2...

Hook your Xbox to tv via HDMI, then hook TV to reciever through digital optical or composite cables. If you try to get your picture through receiver first, you may get picture and sound but, sound may be delayed and picture might not be the best. Bettter to run through tv first then provide sound to receiver.

Cable TV blinks on and off when connected to my Onkyo receiver.

I have the same problem.  It only occurs with my HD DVR (HDMI cable), not my blue ray (HDMI cable), or my xbox and wii (component video).  Video and audio cutout is random and drives the family nuts.  I am desperate for a solution.

HDMI connection with Panasonic DMP-BD35K Blu-Ray Disc Player

Try hooking the Panasonic up straight to the tv without going through the receiver. If it displays a picture its obviously not the blu-ray player. May also be a problem with the HDMI cable itself. Hope this helps.

Playstation 3 Does not display on TV using HDMI or regular video

This happened to me a few years back so I apologize if it's not 100% accurate. If you can get it to work on another TV, go ahead and connect it to that, and go in to the settings to select the video input. If it's connected through an HDMI cable, then it will probably be set to HDMI. Change the input here to whatever cable you used in the living room. You will have to power it off at this stage, but when you connect to the other TV it should work.

Blue screen with HDMI

Check the power supply modular cable connection that is by itself in the upper right corner.  On the one my son-in-law has the double yellow jumper wire that connects to this plug in two locations was loose (not properly inserted) in the modular connector and had worked it way out.
