Sorry, I haven't been able to find any software, but you can try the following workaround:

1. Plug in the camera to the PC and ensure it is detected by the PC.
2. Right click START button and select Explore.
3. From the left panel, scroll to the drive corresponding to your camera. (It will usually be located after the last DVD/CD ROM Drive letter.
4. Click on that drive to expand the folders in the right pane.
5. Search for the relevant pictures from a folder within that drive.
6. Copy the required pics (Press CTRL and click on pics in case you want to select more than one pic.
7. Once you copied all the needed pics, select a folder on your computer (or create a new one) and paste the pics into this folder.
8. You're done :)

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. - If you find that the solution/answer I provided led you to, or resulted in a fix, please close the ticket with a FixYa! rating. I would be very grateful for your show of appreciation.

Thank you for using FIXYA!

The lens error is due to failure of the lens control system. You can remove battery and card replace battery and while switching on tap the lens hood on your hands so as to disengage any dirt or mechanism being struck.
Use some air to blow between the lens to dislodge any sand particles struck inside.Alsoit can be due to failure of the drive motor in the zoom and auto focus sections. It will require good tools and experience to remove and check the conttrol panel and the servo drives. If not you can think of taking consensus with the service centre.
Get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the authorised service as you do not have to run around for spares.

Memory card not recognised when used with card reader. When cam is directly connected with usb also, data not recognised. But photos/videos are visible in cam. How to transfer them to pc/laptop.?

Are you using a 4GB or higher SDHC card, and is the computer (and/or card reader) more than a few years old? If so, that may be your problem. Would recommend considering the purchase of a new plug-in USB SDHC portable card reader (one that is stated capable of reading SDHC). These are only a few dollars on Amazon, and should allow you to download your photos. Note that if your computer is using Windows XP or newer, you should have no problems with the computer recognizing the plug-in reader. But if Windows 98 or older, you may want to ensure that the reader is capable of recognition with the OS before purchasing.

Hitachi hdc-57ies coming up card protected sandisk sdhc 4gb inserted???? help

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Sd Card reader not recognising SDHC cards

When You Insert your SD card into the internal card reader, then the SD card is not recognised by the system and the SD card drive doesn't show there. The problem can be because of driver issue, system issue and device issue.
To fix the problem you need to go at device manager if there is a yelllow sign in SD card controller, the problem is most probably caused by a driver issue. Then you need to update the driver. You can also download the driver for your card reader.
Also, check if your SD Card is broken. You can also check it into different devices port.
If it is detected then you can backup of your data.

If the problem not resolved by any means and you require you SD Card data then I will suggest you read - https://www.stellarinfo.co.in/services/removable-media-recovery.php

Hi, Have purchased an Hitachi HDC-756E Camera but can't connect to my PC - message says " One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it...

This camera uses SD memory cards - avoid connecting the camera to the PC - it only causes problems - get a card reader for $7

Get a SD card reader, take the memory card out of the camera and transfer the images by using the reader
-it's faster
-it's more reliable
- you don't eat up camera batetry life
-you can continue shooting with another card
- you can recharge while downloading pictures

Software

remove the SD card from the camplug it into your PC. If it has no card slot, get a USB card reader. Less than $20 usually. Make sure the card reader can handle the SDHC (hi-capacity) cards if you plan to use those. If XP recognizes the card it will appear like an additional hard disk. Open it in windows explorer, check the directories until you find your video or photos and copy those to the hard disk.
