Getting an "error Message" saying to replace waste toner. Ordered a new one, but it hasn't arrived & printer won't allow me to print anything. Vendor suggested I "Empty the waste toner" I did that & replaced the waste toner & the light is still on, although it's completely empty. I am not able to activate any of the front panel buttons, escape won't work, nothing does, even shutting the printer off does nothing, like keeps appearing. What can I do? i am very upset regarding this used toner bottle full message appearing on my ricoh aficio 2045e copier...i cant copy documents. i tried cleaning the machine. emptythe waste toner bottle but still the error message kept on blinking? i think i need to reset the machine, but i do not know how...please help me as soon as possible...got a lot of books to copy....it will be taken on monday....
Just clean out the transfer belt
Some times
some of cables of the sensor of waste toner these is cut are generally in the
later part of the right cover with a red connector. And this causes the fault
by more cleaning than it is the transference unit, verify that they are well
and if is not thus corrects the problem this restores the problem.
If I am correct this Ricoh and others re-use the waste toner from the drum unit. I remember this same problem. The Waste Toner that it want's you to empty out is acturally in the Transfer bealt area. The waste toner is the waste from the transfer bealt unit. It is inside the middle of the unit. You are going to have to take it apart or call for a service tech to do it. Let me know if you think you can do it....
When you open the right side door you will see the trans fer bealt "Redish Brown", There is a grey plastic handle towards the front of the door next two the transfer unit. Lift the lever up and the transfer unit will lift out, push the top of the unit to the left and remove it from the door. Once it is out, there is one screw on each side of th unit and two spings, remove them and the fold the up the gear side of the unit and the bealt should be loose, remove the bealt and you will see a cleaning blade and a cover with six screws and remover the cover. Be very carefull, there is alot of toner in that box and it is packed in there, either use a vaccum or dump it in to a plastic bag, you don't have to get all of it, but try too. Put the unit back togather the same way you took it a part. You should be all set once it is back togather and turned back ON. There is a sensor inside that unit, that shows that it is full and it must be emptied to reset the code, there is not a counter to reset.... Good Luck
