He should be charging like 1250 for that compressor job 1600 is a little much. Replace the filter drier and install the compressor and charge with freon. the compressor is like 500 to 600 dollars he is charging a lot of labor.
Hello, if the freon level is ok then there is a airflow problem, such as dirty air filter, dirty evaporator coil, or the blower motor is not pushing enough air across the evap coil.
Hello Scott,Your new ac is OVERCHARGED with freon.Shut it off,let it cool down and recover/remove freon. The compressor has an internal pressure valve that makes the (hiss). It will stop when the charge is adjusted.Call them back to do it.
set the thermostat at alow temp normaly after few minute the compressor and the fan will start , if are stying off check control signal is energising the compressor relay if ok check the relay coil; if all are ok ncheck the capacitor then check if the air is still hot means the charge of freon is less and also before charging check the leak
whle your fans are running, chances are good your compressor isn't. One line (the smaller one) should get warm to hot and the larger line should feel cool or cold. If that's not the case there is a good chance the compressor isn't running. OR it's low on freon.
