Have a hotpoint dc27 dishwasher. Never had a prob before. However when i put my tablet in and turn the power on now, the prewashlight starts flashing, and i am unable to use any of the settings. Even if i turn it to either program a,b, c or d, its still continues to flash, and makes a whurring sound but nothing happens, and it will sit like this for hours. Have a hotpoint dc27 dishwasher. Hello & Welcome to FixYa Flashing green light is reset by pressing two buttons in sequence 3-4 times, to reset your dishwasher press these buttons in sequence: High temp wash-heated dry-high temp wash-heated dry Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
NOT TOTALLY SURE ABOUT THIS MODEL, BUT IS THERE A "LOCK" BUTTON ON THE PANEL? ON SOME MODELS YOU NEED TO PRESS IT TWICE TO ENGAGE START. HOW OLD IS THE UNIT? HAVE SEEN THE INTERNAL TIMER RELAY MALFUNCTION ALSO AND IT WILL NOT ALLOW DISHWASHER TO START CYCLES. HOPE THIS HELPS
If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...
When
the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will
stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all
buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the
element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...
...all
the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic
cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2
minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.
If
the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit
(ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could
also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed
(slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door
when you close it).
Don't know the cause but from reading other posts re dishwasher problems I tried holding start but on for 5 - 10 seconds and it seemed to clear the symptoms at least. It ran for a short while and stopped but the flashing had stopped and I could start a wash cycle which is now running!
Depress start button till start light goes out. Close door, drain pump should run for a while. Wait for end of program, rer-try a new program start. This process is re-setting memory. If this fails to sort problem then start checking components, ie: fill valve water on? heaters open circuit/down to earth, drain pump, is it emptying, wash pump.
Processor board sound bad. May be a loose plug ( or corroded connection on the plug ) . Unplug the dish washer from the wall plug before servicing. The open the front panel to expose the panel control board. Unplug the panel plugs and inspect them to assure no corrotion is apparent. If you see corrotion, use a pencil erracer to clean all contact points on the board and clean the plug the best possible. Plug the dishwasher plug back in the wall and check the unit for proper operation. If the operation is not correct, replace the circuit board. I hope this helps

It's possible that there's a fault in the drying heater coil, but I couldn't tell you for sure without looking up your machine.
If you could locate the model number tag on your machine and write down the exact model number and serial number, then I could likely give you a more informative answer. ;)
please can some one help advise
