I have a RCA Executive Series phone and do not know how to set up the intercom so that I don't have to get up and go to someone office to let them know they have a call.

What happens when someone tries to call you ?? Does it blink on the intercom key ? Are you sure they're dialing the right extension number ? Go to your phone, dial FEATURE *0 and then press the intercom key. It'll tell you the extension number of that phone.
Other than DO NOT DISTURB (feature 85 = on, Feature #85 = off) there's nothing that would stop a phone from getting an internal call.
We have the 25414RE, so I can tell you how ours works and hope it helps solve your problem...
You first have to assign each phone a "number". Push the menu button, and go to phone options (you scroll by pushing the review button to the left or right), choose set phone id (once you are on that option push the select/save button just above the review button) - I started with the first phone I plugged in and made it number one, and so on (we have a total of 5). Once the phone ids are established, simply push the intercom button and the corresponding number on the right speed dial/intercom numbers - it should dial the phone you want. It also has an option (again we have the 25414RE) to have the phone auto answer the intercom - so if you are paging someone in a room that isn't near the phone, or the phone is shared by several users, it picks up without anyone having to push anything. Otherwise, the phone that you are calling has to either have the handset picked up or the speaker button pushed. Hope that helps you!!
Don't know about other models, but I just called RCA small business phone support (800-511-3180) to find out how to clear the message light indicator on my 25210 2-line cordless phone when it continues to blink but there is no message.
All you have to do is hold down the delete button for a few seconds and it will clear. Hope this helps someone else from going batty!
such B.S. all I needed was how to use my intercom feature and you want to charge me 50 bucks, man that is some kind of **** you have going on there, you should change the site name from FIXYA TO FUKYA
If you are looking for a message on hold port, you will not find one. Technically speaking, this is not a phone "system." There are 2 options for using messages on hold with your phones: 1) Using a message on hold player with a built-in adapter 2) Using a message on hold player and a separate adapter
The best option can be a little tricky to determine. We work with hundreds of small businesses that have 2,3,4 line phones and can help you figure this out and deliver the best solution. Please call me.
