Vizio Gallevia GV42LF 42 in LCD Television when powered on picture and sound are flickering

Use the tv Vizo remote.Push the P.SIZE or VIEWMODE button on the remote change the picture sizes.

Make sure you select Antenna when doing set up.

My Vizio Gallevia 42 is showing a "no signal" message and then shutting itself off. Do you know what that means

The signal board is corrupt! If is under warranty...getter done!!!!

Sounds like the main board in you set has gone bad.

According to a Cnet review of the 42" Vizio Gallevia, the standby power usage is only .75 watts. Because it is so low, I now have no concern about leaving the set in standby mode. Virtually no savings to be realized by unplugging the set between usage.

This TV has 2 main circuit boards (2 LCD backlight controlers): the Power Supply board may have fried the video board on it's way out ...
You can either arange to have the TV replaced under warenty if not have it serviced. In any case best of luck with Vizio support line.

Everyone bought this TV because it was so cheap... now we find out why: Vizio cuts corners on everything from engineering to support!! All brands are not created equal. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Decrease the Vs voltage on the power supply will fix the problem.
