What band position do i need to talk on cb channels

we are talking about cb radio here aren't we ? there is no best band on a cb, just static and skip all day long. But find a local channel and introduce yourself and stay on that channel .If you are asking about side band then usually its channel 38 lower side.

any where between channel one and channel forty.Unless you have side band then its the upper and lower of all these channels.

there are 2 band switches. one is a rotary switch and one is a slide switch. the rotaryhas a/d e/b and f/c. the band high low switch will determine weather the first position is d or a.so there are a total of 6 band switches. I can't remember witch band is cb band. I recommend getting a frequency counter so you can see what channel you are on. 27.205 is channel 20.

When talking on side band, they need to tune you in on their end.

What midland is it? if its a gmrs 2 way radio, like a walkie talkie, even tho it has 40 channels, it is not a CB. it transmits on a completely different band.

CB is in the 27mhz band, and gmrs is in the 462 MHZ band.

They will not talk to each other.

I am guessing that you are talking about getting it to talk on the FCC Citizens band. I am not too firmiliar with connex, but this will work with any radio with expaned channels.

Usually you use a frequency counter to see what frequency you are on when you are playing with the bands.If you do not have a frequency counter you can find the CB this way.

If its in a mobile, or you are not really far from a highway where big rigs travel, you can flip to channel 19 on the channel sellector then flip through the bands checking each time to see if you are on the CB 19. When you start to hear truckers or you get a radio check from a trucker your on CB 19. You can always ask the person, "this is 19 right"?

If you have no channel display or CB operation, it sounds like a blown voltage regulator that supplies power to the CB PLL circuit.

D is your basic 40 channel, this is what most truckers talk on, then C is low, b is double low and a triple low then e is high and f is double high, this radio also has upper and lower side band, most ham operators use these channels. Hope its been convered to talk on CB band.
