I found an akai ap-003 turntable without a stylus, it works well all it needs is the needle, are they still made or available somewhere ? what are my chances of getting one ?

Check on ebay for that tt and maybe someone has parts listed. Or try the manufacturer but if a unit is more than ten years old parts are usually no longer available.

Either the stylus is worn out. Or you have not enough pressure applied. The weight on the end of the arm needs adjusting. It's mostly a question of trial and error doing this. You want it so it stays in the grooves, but not so you hear a rumble sound.

Look at the cartridge it fits in. That will have a make and number. You can trace the stylus by entering that into Google.

You need to define the cartridge make and model for us to be specific; and read the manual(s) or sheet that came with the stylus. They typically slide in the direction opposite that which the old one came out. I'm sure if you look at the inner surface of the stylus it will have guides suggesting the way it is inserted.

Make shure that is a 50Hz turntable. If you connect a 60 Hz turntable in a 50 Hz system, the result is aprox 28 RPM in the 33 RPM position/

hi, any cartridge are posible in every turntable as long the needle is available...the wiring is the same the position ,, but the only thing that im not sure is the sensetivity of the needle ..some are not good but some is compatible..u
